Description: This Orleans mainstay continues to offer cuisine awarded a rating of "excellent' by the Zagat guide, offering up a menu of eclectic Mediterranean dishes with a touch of Cape Cod Classic presented in an inviting dining room with buttery yellow walls and linen clad tables. Additional seating is available seasonally on the breezy patio. Eclectic definitely describes the menu where wasabi mussels meet salmon gravlax with potato pancakes, local littlenecks sauteed with bacon, white wine, butter and parmesan cheese, among the many appetizers offered. Customer favorites include Grilled Swordfish topped with a basil-parmesan glaze; Veal Saltimbocca and Sole Francaise. It had seemed the idea of the classic leisurely brunch, lazy Sundays lingering over Eggs or Crab Cakes Benedict and Bloody Mary's, were a thing of the past, but Academy Ocean Grille keeps the classics going.

I had been here once for lunch with a girl friend and really liked it. I saw that they were doing Mother's Day Brunch and decided to give it a try again. It did not disappoint from the first visit. We were pleasantly greeted and immediately brought to our table. All our food was beautifully prepared, pleasantly presented and steaming... More

We have had lunch and dinner here, both fabulous! Both times the fresh seafood was amazing. Scallops and swordfish were cooked perfectly. We finished both meals with the Sticky Toffee pudding that was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. We did share the dessert, but I suggest getting your own!

This was the second year we had dinner at The Grille (my choice) and again it delivered. First, the decoration and ambience was outstanding. Very quiet white tablecloth table for two. Second the service was outstanding with good descriptions of dishes we had questions on. The menu is 'American with a touch of fusion' including seeveral seafood dishes. But not... More

If you had dined at this location in recent years and in its various incarnations, you really owe it to yourself to, yet again, get in here and go 'round once more. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by what has transpired; new decor, attention to detail, acoustics, placement of tables, and, of the utmost important, divine cuisine, and... More

This restaurant is very upscale in a casual atmosphere, the food was prepared to perfection with a lovely presentation. Wait staff very efficient and fabulous desert! A must visit for a great meal. You can tell food is fresh and staff are welcoming at this restaurant.

I so enjoyed lunch at the Academy Ocean Grille and I think you will too. My friend had a delicious fresh salmon and shrimp and rice entree. I had to try the highly recommended liver and onions. Yes, I am a liver and onion fan and it was some of the best that I have ever had. They were flexible... More

There are only 2 bad things I can say about this place - the name has to go down in history as one of the worst "turn you off" names and the windows should be changed to stained glass because the views suck. The food, however, is excellent. If you go, you must have the clam chowder. And the fish... More

The only thing I have bad to say about this restaurant is that it has a very stupid name. The food is some of the best on the Cape. If you go, you have to try their clam chowder. The fish is VERY fresh and the specials a real treat. As far as I' m concerned, the best restaurant on... More
