The $1.00 beer samples were fun and our waiter was very helpful in choosing ours for us. We each had the cheese soup....but we shared the pretzel..which was very good and the sloppy joe which was good and different....looking forward to returning and trying more things. Our waiter couldn't have been more accomodating and friendly adding to the fun of... More

Great place in the happening district Downtown Grand Rapids...there for Art Fest, we tried this place for lunch one afternoon, and could not find anything wrong! Great food, reasonable prices, and good waitstaff. Service was moderate, but the client load was immense! We waited about 5-10 minutes for a nice table, and they were packed!!! Great place!

Loved the buffalo roll appetizer. Great mussels, too. Friendly service and fun atmosphere. Didn't care for one beer so waitress brought me a different one. Very nice.

One of the coolest bars I've been to. More beer choices then one can imagine. Food was awesome, had the fricken chicken tacos, cowboy burger, turkey bruschetta burger, and killer mac and cheese and the unforgettable crack fries. Totally delicious, beer was awesome, atmosphere and staff fantastic. Would definitely be back! Down town GR is the place to be.

Place was busy but we did not wait long and our food was very good. I had some of the craft beer and it tasted cold and refreshing.

Server was excellent and provided food and drink recommendations. Food was liked by all 5 in our group. Make sure to try their fries. The Turkey Freschetta Burger is the best non-beef burger I have ever had and easily competes with the best burgers of any kind. There is parking nearby on the street and in the parking garage. It... I got here just in time to enjoy the $6 Burger and beer special. I would normally have some reservations about partaking of something so cheap, but this was well worth it. The atmosphere is very laid back, the staff is very friendly, and the other patrons enjoy being there. If you're in the area, swing by.

Expect a crowd anytime. But that's a good thing, a sure sign of a winner. Have been going for a few years and visited again recently whilst visiting from London. Love the selection of local beers; a true testament to a local establishment. Fantastic too that they have so many other choices. The best part about HopCat is the food.... More

HopCat offers a staggering array of taps (including a handful of their own) and tasty bar food. We were fortunate to get there a little ahead of the lunch crowd and got a spot near the window. While the restaurant later got packed, it's big enough not to be overly noisy or bothersome. Each of us had a different sandwich... More

This bar has such an extensive local craft beer list that it is easy for out-of-towners to try new and different beers. Get the super deluxe loaded crack fries and you will not be disappointed! Michele's beer bar cheese and fire chicken wings are tasty as well.
