Description: Chandler’s opened it’s doors in December of 1999 behind the historical Symons General Store building. It’s a cozy place with only 50 seats in the main dining room & 10 seats at the bar. When real estate is too tough to find - it’s standing room only! For a change of scenery, guests can enjoy dining in the wine cellar where they are surrounded by the 4,000 bottle collection that serves both the restaurant and Symons General Store. In the warmer months, guests can choose to dine outside, on Chandler’s brick courtyard.

I have heard about this place for a long time. Always great stories from food to friends and live music! I ate my lamb chops with my eyes closed they were so good I didn't want to have any other senses mess it up. The atmosphere was awesome! Our server was very attentive!

We went to Chandler's on a quiet Sunday night in May and thought it was terrific. The atmosphere is low-key - knotty pine walls , small bar with TV on. I can see how it would be loud when full in the summer or on a busy night. We had an amazing morel plate to start. The entrees were excellent,... More

We only get to Petoskey a few times a year. We have never had dinner here, but always try to get here for lunch. They make all their food right there-salad dressing, soup, etc. When we ate here May 4th we were inside and there were many people eating outside also. I looked out and told my husband I felt... I stopped through Petoskey on Business recently and was shown Chandlers by a colleague of mine. The quaint downtown Petoskey location in an alley of sorts is small but welcoming. It is relatively small and has probably 15 tables or so and a bar area that can seat about a dozen people. We sat at he bar and got a... More

NOt a very pleasant place to be seated, feels cramped and basement like. Sooo expensive. Huge wine selection. Dinner for 3 was about 200 with wine.

This little basement bistro will bowl you over with their creative menu. It's one of those places that makes you want to return often because of the variety offered and everything is soooo good.

Had a nice time, but service was a little odd. Came with a large (12) party on one of the busiest weekends of the winter ski season. Our reserved table was in the quieter half of the restaurant. When presenting the menu, the waiter suggested the special, but when time came to order we were informed they were out of... More

Unpretentious place, full of character, friendly service. Did I mention the great food & wine? Can't wait to return on my next visit to the area.

This was, by far, the best food I have ever had. The quality was equal to any 5-star restaurant around. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and timed perfectly. The wine selection paired with the meals just right. The pricing is high, but you get what you paid for.

Excellent food, warm friendly atmosphere and superb service.... try the sushi... the menu supports a lot of locally harvested foods, make sure to try anything that is seasonal and a unique special. Try to go on a week night when it is a little slower and the food will be even better.
