This was our fourth or fifth visit. All the other times we visited were excellent, this time was not so great. The restaurant was obviously understaffed. My house salad had a lot of lettuce that was obviously smashed or old or both. Kind of gross. My Alfredo with Chicken tasted good, but the fat part of the chicken seemed to... More

Maria's is your average Italian food. Nothing special. The atmosphere is boring. We had to wait about a half hour when there were visibly several open tables. All of us (4 groups) were very confused why there was such a long wait. Maybe they were just understaffed but that doesn't make it ok.

Our family of four had dinner at Maria's last night. Pasta was good but drenched in butter sauce. Very quiet for a family-friendly restaurant, but it wasn't a problem. Yummy breadsticks and a decent glass of house red! Desserts (including gelato and sorbetto) looked very good, but we didn't try anything.

Crowded even in winter but worth the wait. Very reasonable, very good Italian food, and now serving their own wine. A few sidewalk tables in warm weather. I like the spaghetti and meatballs!

I'm in the navy and have eaten at a lot of places, especially Italian. For me, this place hit the spot in so many ways. I loved the atmosphere, cozy and warm, The staff were professional and quite attentive.

This small restaurant in downtown South Haven has wonderful Italian food. Good pizza and I love the lasagna. We enjoy coming here as a couple or bringing our family. Good atmosphere, good food, and even their own wine. My most recent experience was with a group of 18 children and parents. We were Christmas Caroling downtown and made plans to... More

The atmosphere is warm, cozy and our server was excellent. However, the pasta was really ... Not good. I wanted so much to like it.

The portions are very generous. We thought the food was good but not great. Seems like a nice family place. Our server was a little perplexed when I asked which dish he would recommend based on the two I was considering.

Reallly growing from the little place it started as. Has wines in collaboration with the wonderful vinyard Fenn Valley so you know they are good. Great value great food. Get busy in summer, we tend to go in the off season.
