Every time I've eaten here I've had a curry dish. It's always been flavorful and delicious. The prices are a little high but we like the food that we've had.
We usually order take out here once a month. They are quite pricey for dinner take out ($42.00 for shrimp pad Thai, large soup, crab rangoon, and a coconut curry dish, and it was not really enough for three of us - they could at least throw in a cookie) The pad Thai was rather bland, but the curries are... I ordered the deep fried whitefish with sweet red chili sauce on the side. It took 25 minutes, and I was the only customer in the restaurant except for a couple of carryouts who place their oder after they came in. There was a table full of dirty dishes behind me and nobody bothered to bus the table for the... More
Definitely cheap and with sizeable portions. If you lower your expectations about the standard of Thai food in Traverse City, Michigan, you will be just fine.
We visit TC a couple times year and usually make an attempt to visit Thai Cafe for the fried whitefish with sweet chili sauce(on the side to keep it crisp). Had it again this visit and it did not disappoint. We did try a couple of new dishes this trip. The medium version of spicy red coconut curry fried rice... More
Non authentic thai food. Just sloppy noodle dishes that lacked flavor and quality ingredients. Very disappointed.
I have eaten hear a fair amount of times on the recommendation of a friend. I originally really loved the food. On one occasion they mixed up my mild dish and my husbands spicy dish which we had to drive back to their store to replace. A few occasions later, I was again given a spicier than normal version of... More
Can't beat this place for price and taste. Absolutely no atmosphere, so not for a romantic dinner. This little place is tucked in the corner of a strip mall next to Little Caesar's. Just a bunch of formica tables and office chairs for sitting. Service is fast. Wait staff is friendly. Food is good. No complaints.
For years I have not only craved & raved about the take-out I have gotten here, I even had my husband hooked(not typically an asian food fan). We would typically get takeout once a week, but have found the quality waining over the past year. To top that off the past four times in a row when getting home we... More
I have been to the Thai Cafe several times over the years it has been in business. In general I have found the food to be of great quality for the price, with average service. Unfortunately the last experience I had with them will most likely be my last. I ordered take out for my lunch break from work, two... More
