One of your faves for fresh Italian. The Risotto is especially good. Nice bar compliments an attractive dining area and a convenient location downtown.
My husband and I were visiting from out of town and we absolutely loved the food, place and service. Such a great experience and savory dishes. I love Italian food and this restaurant hit the spot.
I have no complaints about Sorellina. Four of us had an evening meal there (I got the cannelloni vegetariani) and we all agreed our food was fine. That said, there is nothing that really stands out about this restaurant; kind of dark inside with no oh-wow ambience. Still, good service and good food, so if you are in downtown Traverse... More
We stopped by Sorellina prior to a movie on Friday for drinks and appetizers with friends. We did not eat in the restaurant, electing to sit at the bar. We started with drinks and the bruschetta and calamari. Both were very good but the bruschetta required that we order another order. It was so tasty. The balsamic vinegar so sweet... More
A very average experience. Wife and I dined here in a booth in the bar, bad choice. Bartender had to tend bar and serve several tables, plus she loved to talk to the regulars! Very unattentive and slow service. She was clearly overwhelmed. Appetizer and salads were good not great. Wife had zafferano (rice) and I had fusilli fiorentina listed... More
We came upon this restaurant when looking for another that had closed. We were very pleased with the food and service. The bread was delicious, as were the meals. I had the chicken marsala, which was very tasty. The service was fast and efficient as well. Great meal overall!
Open, clean, elegant atmosphere. Attentive staff. I splashed some oil on my shirt and my waiter gave me a Tide stick! Our water never went empty. Good food, great portion size - saw a lot of doggy bags leave the restaurant. Nice wine list. Sweet balsamic oil with bread for dipping. Nicely priced for the tasty fare.
Sorellina is just off the main drag of downtown Traverse City, but it may as well be in Italy! Great restaurant! I had the Vegetarian Cannelloni, even though I'm not vegetarian. The filling was delicious, and there was a red and white sauce on top. The sauces were wonderful as well as artfully placed. The rest of our group had... More
We had the Alfredo with shrimp which was really good. Also had the spinach salad with candied walnuts. The dressing was fabulous! I thought it was pretty pricey for what you get. Food was delicious but expensive.
We were here in the winter months with friends....my husband (who is from Italy) said it was the poorest excuse for Italian food he has ever eaten(or not eaten!!). I also had a terrible meal....it was such an acidic red sauce I seriously could not eat it! The waiter who was Italian even agreed with my husband when he complained,... More
