A group of us went here on a Tues night for dinner and had a great time. Huge draft beer selection, great food, and a lot of people for a Tues night. Would definitely go back!
Visited with a party of 4 on a Thursday night. It was very noisy and we had to wait several minutes for a table. To be fair, there was music across the street in Mears Park. I had the Bison Buffalo Burger and picked the Tillamook Cheddar Cheese. The garlic mayo was a nice compliment to the burger. The side... More
I love The Bulldog's food! I am a die-hard Philly chees steak eater and the best one I ever had was at the Bulldog in Uptown (Minneapolis). I ventured out to the Lowertown location in St. Paul in hopes this amazing sandwich would be the same... IT WAS! So good. My boyfriend had the porky the pig burger, with pulled... More
Met a friend that recently moved to Lowertown and wanted to check out some of the local flavor. We decided on Bulldog and headed over. All the tables were full when we got there but were able to get a two top pretty quickly. The table needed to be bussed and it took several minutes before our waitress got around... More
We stopped in here after an event in the downtown area. We sat at the bar which had a lot of choices on tap. There was also a full menu to choose from and not just a late night menu. The food was great - fresh and hot. Some different choices than just your typical sports themed place. Friendly bartenders... More
Went on a Monday evening. 4 other customers, but I sat anyway. Ordered a diet coke. The bartender filled the glass with foam, waited for it to settle, added more, waited for it to settle... The waitress brought me back a flat $2.50 drink. Tasted more like Diet RC Cola than Diet Coke. Ordered a hamburger. Waitress could not have... More
The Bulldog is a typical happy hour spot. Nothing special but very consistent and good prices. Its very near Mears Park and the wonderful Lowertown area.
We've been going to the Bulldog now since it opened in Lowertown - it's very convenient and their great selection of beers keep bringing us back. I have to say though, that their service when sitting at the bar is lacking to say the least. This has been a constant annoyance since they opened. here's what we observe every time:... More
Coming from Colorado we have a quaint little sausage joint called Biker Jims. This was easily the equivalent of that place but with a much wider selection of beers to choose from. The gourmet hot dogs were fantastic and jsut what we hoped for after a long day of traveling. The atmosphere was very loud but the food and the... More
It was what you would expect of a decent local sports bar with a bunch of beers on tap. Nothing really special but we only had hotdogs and beer. I would go again but not wait around for a long time to sit or order. We went during the day at late lunch.
