Got in before 6 and took advantage of happy hour. The raw oysters were fresh and yummy. I had the seafood stuffed portabella mushrooms and my husband had the seafood platter. I will say the shrimp on his plate were some of the best either of us have ever tasted! Great place. Wait staff very good.

This place was packed at 6:30 PM on Wednesday night during the off season so I cannot imagine during the summer. Fortunately for us it was packed with two large groups with reservations waiting for their tables. So, we were seated within 5 minutes and had great service. Tried to oyster sampler platter which was oysters four ways with three... More

I ate at the Half Shell for dinner this week. There were four of us dining during a business trip. It was a fantastic dining experience. The bar was lively and well stocked, I had an amber ale, Apex beer I believe. We had the Combination Oyster Appetizer, the Orleans Oysters are the best oysters I've had anywhere. For dinner... More

First time to visit this restaurant. I ordered tuna and it was prepared perfect. The side dishes were very good and I enjoyed the visit.

Went with a group of 20 in town for a soccer tournament. Called ahead and they gave us a time they could accommodate us. The 2 waitresses kept up with our drinks, the separate kids table and had a plan for keeping the kids on a right ticket which can sometimes be a problem. I believe all the dads and... More

We sat for 15 minutes without being acknowledged. Needless to say we didn't dine there. We end up going across the street to dine. They had great food and service.

The sashimi-grade Tuna steak, the Oysters, and the local beer- Southern Pecan are amazing. My wife had some fantastic shrimp and I started with some of the best damned gumbo on the coast. It's reasonably-priced and well-staffed. They do get crowded in the evenings though.

Grilled oysters. I tried them all and all were wonderful! Had tuna for lunch which was slightly over cooked. Also has cheese grits which were awesome.

OK seafood but not a lot of choices. We are used to eating great seafood with lots of choices in the Destin area and were disappointed to find such limited choices at this top rated restaurant. They had no combo plates where you could get some fried shrimp and grilled fish which we prefer. They did not have any of... More
