Went here with a party of 7 for lunch. The waitress is the granddaughter of Leatha, who she said had a stroke. The waitress wrote nothing down and was downright adorable. She called everyone honey, and when someone in our party ordered sweet tea (she knew we were from NYS) she said no, you get half and half (half sweetened,... More

I had heard how great the BBQ was at Leatha's and everyone was RIGHT. First off the food is so good, but enjoy the service and the staff. If you don't get at least ten good chuckles you aren't paying attention. Notice Leatha doesn't write anything down as you order. I bet she gets every order correct. We had a... More

The place itself and the staff was a great experience. As others have noted it's a funky place that makes you feel at home. There were six of us. two had the pulled pork, two the ribs, and two the chicken. The quantities were generous, but not inexpensive. I had the pulled pork which had very little taste without the... I've been wanting to try Leatha's for several years now, and finally went when we were visiting family in March. I've heard so many great things about it, but was disappointed with the pulled pork. Service was great, it was a decent price, and the sides were good. Next time, I will definitely try ribs. The pulled pork was really... More

As a traveling Yankee, Leatha's Bar-B-Que Inn defined for me the quintessential Southern barbecue experience. The barbecued ribs were the best I've ever eaten. The side orders of potato salad and baked beans were similarly excellent. The quality and warmth of service made my wife and I feel like members of the family. Our waitress served a party of 8... I was traveling through Hattiesburg, MS last week and ate dinner at Leatha's. I read about the restaurant on Trip Advisor, but it was also recommended by friends who live there. Our group tried all of the meats and sides and each was good. The service is over the top with friendly wait staff who were attentive but not intrusive.... More

I wanted to eat something local and not a chain. This place was rated #1 in Hattiesburg. I tried the pull pork, beans and fries. It was ok, but not something I would come back for. In addition, I thought it was a bit pricey, what I got was the cheapest thing on the menu. With a $2.00 sweet tea,... More
