I only get a chance to eat here about 2 or 3 times a year but it is one of my favorites places when I am in the St Louis area. I mostly eat the lamb, but the variety is somewhat different than your average restaurant.

Had the version of the sweet and sour chicken. It was very tough and the food came out cold. I also couldn't get my water glass filled. It is a nice environment and very good for a quick get together. If you want to impress someone though, don't come here.
A good happy hour menu at reasonable prices. A lively place to go especially with a group of friends.
I came here a couple times with friends and it was dissapointing both times. The drinks werent that good and the food was absolutely terrible. My husband ordered the ribs that were on the menu and he made the comment at the time that he would have rather eaten the McRib from McDonalds. There are plenty of other restaurants around...

Visited for the first time on 3/20/13. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice, different type of atmosphere. Service was excellent and food was excellent. Lots of healthy choices on the menu and very delicious. Prices were good too. I had 5 spice chicken and shrimp stir fry = $14.00. Was a large serving. I would have had left overs but it was...

THE ELEPHANT BAR is always good. Price, food, service are always appropriate. Middle of the road, but after all, most of us are middle class people anyway
I used to like this place better but, on my last 2 visits I found that our orfers (Ribeye and shrimp) seemed to be left under a warming lamp. Ths steaks were on the fatty side and the shrimp was overcooked. One member of our party has a shrimp platter that was excellent, however.
Although this is a chain style of upscale restaurant, it feels like a one and only unique place. The old world ceiling fans give one the feeling of being in Casablanca, and one expects Humphrey Bogart to walk through the front door! Food is good, service great, in all a fun place for a night out.
My sixteen year old daughter and I go here after shopping. We always enjoy it and for a chain it's very good. She loves the tuna. Sometimes we order a bunch of appetizers which are always good. The soups are really good as well.
Best Happy Hour in all of stl area! The bar gets crazy during happy hour and it can be hard to find a spot or even hear but the drinks are wonderful and so i the food!
