I've had very good dinning experiences here and some not so good. Recently have noticed and upswing again.
A classic Montana steakhouse! Had an excellent dinner here with a coworker. A great Montana steak, flavorful and tender, prepared exactly as I ordered it: "Pittsburgh black & blue!" Seriously- what more can one ask for? :-)
Had dinner again at Iron Horse, following my visit in March and sat at the bar. I was disappointed. Dinned on a Thursday night and ordered the hanger steak with baked potato and salad. Sorry, we're out of baked potatoes (7:15 pm). In view of my previous comment about the salad, I was keenly aware of the servers dumping chopped... More
We ate dinner there tonight, and the service was outstanding. The service time was wonderful, the food was amazing, and the price is perfect for the large servings. I would absolutely recommend going here to absolutely anyone - I've never been let down yet.
This may rightfully be the best restaurant in Miles City. It could be better with little effort. Sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the Ansel Adams books and Pictorial History of Montana left for perusal. Soup du Jour was "8 bean and ham"; the 8th bean appeared to be edamame, and the soup was very good. House salad with... More
We had reservations for 7pm, but our meal did not arrive until after 8... right as we were leaving! The waitress (who didn't even introduce herself) did not check back on our table and we had 3 empty glasses sitting in front of us for at least 20 minutes. In addition, when my husband tried to order we were informed... More
We were staying at the Yellowstone Bluffs B&B (reviewed) and asked our host for his favorite restaurant, with no hesitation he said the Iron Horse Supper Club,I immediately liked the name.We were a little surprised by the location,it's somewhat industrial looking but Miles City is small so.... The interior was very attractive, food and service were terrific. We both had steaks... More
The Iron Horse is a real western supper club is in a real old west town. We had a pleasant dinner with wine. Service was good and atmosphere relaxing although like almost everywhere in Montana there were the usual casino machines. This restaurant deserves a lot of credit for trying in a town with nothing but fast food places at... More
We stayed overnight in Miles City in June 2010. We like to ask the locals for a good place to eat. This place was highly recommened and we are glad we stoped to here to eat. We listed to some local cowboys as they were talking about selling some horses. In fact the parking lot is big enough for horse... More
We had low expectations of finding good food in Miles City based on reviews we had read of other restaurants. But this place was a welcome surprise... and we are pretty picky when it comes to our food and wine. Do not be put off by the exterior: a peach painted building with a (temporary?) plastic sign. The interior is... More
