This is a restaurant that is worth the detour. The food is excellent and their beer (local) is also excellent. The place is great for kids. There is plenty of space to play outside while you wait for your table. We will definitely return!

We met friends here from Wolfborough, the boys tell me great selection of beer. The food was plentiful and well cooked to requirements. Super fun brewery/restaurant that is always a good time. Longhorn nachos were fantastic - plenty of house smoked brisket and a habanero mustard bbq sauce that was tangy, smokey, and delicious. Growlers of their house beers run $15ea (1/2 gallon) and there are deals on refills if you bring them back before a certain time.

Moat makes great craft beer which should be the focus of your visit. Their food is awesome but their menu does not reflect the "smokehouse" in their name. A friend told us to try this restaurant which was a short drive from the shopping areas. So glad we did. Our family of 4 each ordered something different and we were all pleased. Try the sampler of their brews. All were superb!

I've Eaten @ Many Smoke Houses and this Restaurant isnt 1 !! I Wanted Smoke Turkey, the only thing they had was a Wrap. I Could of got the Same Thing @ Hannafords. Thin, like Cold Cuts! Very Disapponted, their Micro Brews are Great Though! ( Stick with the Beer, Guys )

We always dine at Moat when in the valley. Considerate hosts, a menu for everyone, delightful staff and plenty of brews. The porch is a favorite spot whether solo or as a couple. Corn & crab bisque, Greek salad with chicken & large Hoffman Weiss is a favorite meal.
