We recently enjoyed drinks and dinner at Tula Restaurant. The food was delicious and the total cost was very reasonable for what we received. My wife and I really liked the meatball app and my swordfish with saffron rice and chorizo was very memorable. Staff was very attentive and we never had to look for someone, they always materialized when... More

A good place for lunch: we had the soup of the day -- carrot ginger soup. Sandwiches were OK: I had the Mahi-mahi on special. Service was spotty, despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't entirely full. Maybe because it wasn't crowded, we were able to enjoy a quiet conversation. Prices seemed reasonable.

One of my colleagues made reservations at Tula so that we could take a colleague who's retiring out to lunch. We were greeted and seated promptly on arrival and were given water to drink and menus as we waited for the rest of our party. I had to ask twice to have my water glass refilled. Our server said, "Absolutely!"... More

On the other side of the tracks from New Brunswick's thriving Arts District, Tula's is a bit out of the way, but worth a detour. The Scottish salmon was tender and tasty and the Day Boat scallops were luscious. The hanger steak was tasty, but not tender. Our server was knowledgeable.

We came here for Valentines dinner. Service was slow and food was mediocre. Lamb was over cooked, salmon was bland. Server forgot to bring bread until we asked. The jazz guitarist saved the evening.

All too often you find these so called fusion restaurants that claim to be one of kind but this one not so much. The apps were OK and the entre not bad but the worst was the DJ in the middle of dinner they flip the script and the restaurant becomes studio 54 not cool guys. Beware of this place.

We had a limited menu but choices were good. Food was good but service for our large group was terrible. We had made reservations and the place wasn't busy when we arrived. Some members left before the included dessert was served.

We did not go to New Brunswick to eat at Tula; we just happened to go in because we were in the neighborhood, it was lunchtime, and the place had nice curb appeal. When we entered we immediately noticed that there was only one other couple in the seemingly cavernous restaurant, so a feeling of 'did we make a bad... More

This place is usually quiet but always has a great dj playing hip ambience. The high price of drinks keep the college students out but it's a nice warm escape. Never tried the food but highly recommend for a drink with a date. The bar is very long with romantic lighting.
