I used to come here almost every week several years ago, but after starting it was not the case anymore. Also, when I went there may be two years ago there were different people and the food seems different too. So it was a great surprise recently when we went there with the friends - a lot of old staff... More

After walking around and checking restaurants in Princeton, our group decided on The Ferry House. The restaurant is upscale in décor, the menu varied with several specials available. Our group of 6 ordered the specials,(starters and entrees) which were excellent and beautifully presented. The service was also excellent and very professional. The specials were "pricey"($40.00 per entrée) which we were... More

This BYO bottle establishment is venerable, but has seen better days. It could use a makeover - both menu and ambiance wise. It still has sentimental value for many; neverthless, there are better places to choose in Princeton.

Small but cozy interior. EXCELLENT food...great wait staff. Did I mention the food is Excellent. Definitely try to have dinner here. A bit pricy but someone in the kitchen is giving thought to what they put together, how it all works and what their guests experience. YUMMY

We live near Princeton, and this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Two years ago I had my birthday dinner here, and it was absolutely lovely and delicious. Two years later I once happened to come and order the exact same menu - the size of the salad decreased by more than a half, and the same story... More

I am a long time resident of Princeton. When the restaurant first moved to Princeton (from Lambertville), they must have wanted to try harder, be more humble and appreciative of their customers, and deliver better food and service. I was a frequent business lunch customer of the restaurant for years. Now, i will never go back. First, we ordered an... More

We went for a family birthday - the selection was not broad but each dish was great. The staff was attentive and intelligent. The only problem was that the kitchen treated my pre-teen nephews as children - but the mistakes were fixed promptly and kindly. Everyone enjoyed the meal.

Have eaten here several times. The food is excellent -- the atmosphere one of unpretentious elegance. Good selection of foods. Good service. Easy to miss this place. Although it is a block from Palmer Square shopping and the University--it is nestled in among the stores offering average (less than elegant) shopping. Worth the price.

I haven't been to Ferry House in several years, because it was overpriced, repetitive and lacked creativity. But the state and federal tax authorities were there this week and closed the restaurant because the owner apparently hasn't paid taxes in forever. He, of course, blamed the taxman for not providing warning and throwing people out of work - too bad... More
