We first ate at El Meze soon after they opened last year. We went again last night. The creativity of the menu is wonderful without being silly. We felt like we were back in Spain. The pace is unhurried but attentive and each dish we tried (grilled peppers, buffalo short ribs, fisherman's soup and grilled trout) was seasoned and prepared with care. The hard surfaces of the restaurant result in a harsh, high noise level --but a glass or two of wine tempers that one distraction. More

Go try a new addition to the menu. I loved this dish. It is a Catalan fisherman's stew with fish, sausage, potato and tomatoes in a light saffron broth. I thought I was in Spain. I hope it stays on the menu for awhile. More
