Food is great, service is slow. But service is slow everywhere in Chautauqua Inst. There is very little choice but, Intermezzo still provides great food and drink selections.

We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely place snuggled beneath St. Elmo's on Chautauqua's Bestor Plaza. Great food. Lovely presentation. Lovely server. Pretty decor, tasty food, reasonably priced, nice staff

We had a very good meal the other night ( June 2012 ). Not cheap but definitely worth the price. Everything was great!!! The service is excellent but it took over 1 hr to get our food. And by the way, the restaurant provides no wifi. So, be prepared for an old world meal..... With plenty of leisure time!

Intermezzo has new management in 2011, according to a note I read while spending 3 days at Chautauqua. They are really doing nicely with this medium-sized restaurant in the bottom floor of St. Elmo just off Bestor Plaza. Family owned new restaurant in St. Elmo Condominium building. Very popular so reservations suggested. Really enjoyed onion soup. Good selection of reasonably prices food. Welcome addition to Chautauqua
