Description: At the Living Room, we identify the freshest and most naturally produced foods, creating world-class menu selections from what can be purchased through local, organic producers. This is the slow-food philosophy at work, and we believe it makes for the best-tasting meals in the Hamptons. Our chef uses the slow-food process to "cook with the seasons", coming up with mouth-watering menus of cuisine he calls "new American with a Scandinavian twist". Signature dishes include Scandinavian classics like Toast Skagen and exquisite desserts like Spring Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp with homemade honey vanilla gelato and Catapano Goat Cheese Tarte with homemade lingonberry sorbet. To complement, you can choose from more than 200 vintages from our extensive wine cellar. From local Long Island varietals to organic Oregonian boutique blends and standards from Europe, there is a wine for every mood and food at The Living Room.

Had drinks and appetizers here. Wonderful atmosphere and great good, a little pricey but that's to be expected in the Hamptons' premier restaurant.

We had lunch in this charming restaurant which looks over the pond at East Hampton. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The menu has a Nordic influence and the gravilax with pickled radish starter was excellent with contrasting flavours on the palate. Main courses were meat balls and tarte flambee which was out of this world. Desserts were fantastic... More

The dining room is lovely and had a face lift a couple of seasons ago. Service was excellent and the food was delicious, though the entrees were "le petite portion". The herring three way appetizer was the hit of the evening. We come here on special occasions as the ambiance is outstanding.

Everything was absolutely great, and they know how to charge top dollar for it. Money well spent for caring service and a delicious meal.

Two separate visits. Food was precise, fresh and artful. Portion size was perfect. Not the normal fare...the Swedish touch, and "different" parings might confuse some, but it's worth the adventure. Best bartender in the east end, Henri never gets flustered or overwhelmed even on the busiest nights. .

Recently had a wonderful dinner here in their main dining room which was packed on a Saturday night. And that is probably the only reason I cannot give The Living Room 5 stars. It is very cramped in the main dining area & while I can appreciate their need to make money in what is a somewhat seasonal business; having... More

My family and I had dinner last night. We had an amazing time. The table was already waiting for us when we got there. The stuff was amazing. We had a very warm welcome. The food is spectacular. Everything was delicious. We felt like home.

This must be one of the places to go to in the Hamptons. Very good food, great atmosphere, staff pleasant. The kitchen is a mix of international and specific Swedish food. We will be back.

We had dinner for two at a row of tables for two, each 6 inches apart. I felt like I was in New York City. Tables for four had better spacing so I would recommend going when you are with friends. The food was good, although our fish was over salted. The service was mediocre. We each finished our first... More
