Nice looking restaurant and the service was great, but the food was terrible. The salad had way too much dressing. I ordered bologenese and it came with some strange curly pasta that had been over cooked. What little sauce there was, was very thin and sweet. A pool of water was in the bottom of the plate. I sent the... More

In a small town bar scene this is a wonderful place to go for a nice dinner for two! Had the crab cakes for appetizer and the salmon for dinner. Delicious! They made a nice gin martini with the 3 olives I asked for. Dark, quiet, good food and the smell of the wood fire (for pizza) added to an... More

This restaurant is a cozy upscale eatery nestled off of Main Street in Geneva, N.Y. They are best know for their "wood fired" dishes. The menu selections range from: stakes, crab cakes, salads, fish, soup, & daily specials. Price point between $14 & $30 per dish. The upstairs room is available for parties. A beautiful staircase graces the way to... More

We completed a day of wine tastings at Halsey's. We asked for a table upstairs which was quiet and romantic. The crab cakes are so good they are reminiscent of one's we at at Bayona in New Orleans. Crispy on the outside with large lumps of sweet crab meat with a spicy remoulade. I had the vegetable lasagna and my... More

After a day traveling the wineries - Halsey's came recommended for dinner. A Saturday evening, with no reservations - we sat at the bar, and ended up ordering drinks & our meals from there. It worked out wonderfully. The special drink (a pear tini of sorts I think) was mixed to perfection. The best part - I've had crab cakes... More

We went to Halsey's on a recent week-end trip to Geneva and area. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed the decor. The old building has been restored beautifully. However, for the price the food was a disappointment. Overuse of sauce spoiled the calamari appetizer my husband had and too much dressing spoiled my salad. The pork chop that my... More

Halsey's is a hopping restaurant in Geneva. A reservation is required on the weekends. I went with my son who is in Geneva for college. Our meal was fabulous. It is a little pricey.

We had a one night stay in Geneva and found some positive reviews on TripAdvisor for this place and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. We had the short ribs with sweet potato pure as an appetizer and it was absolutely delicious, so good I wish they had it as a main dish. I got the house... More

Went to Halseys for the first time. The atmosphere was great, decor was nice. A variety of meal choices. The brick oven pizza was delicious. Service was good. I highly recommend this restaurant.
