Maxie's is our most reliable stand-by place in town for dinner and later-night. Food is consistent, service always friendly and prompt. Great place with friends and family.
Our B&B referred us to Maxie's and we were delighted! We waited approximately 20 minutes and were a little packed in, but staff was very attentive. Local wines and beer on tap daily! Highly recommend the crab cakes and sweet potato fries! The slaw was different than I have ever had and I almost asked for more! Be patient or... More
Maxie's was my 20-something daughter's first choice for dining when home for a visit. Fine food and friendly waitress.
Went early for happy hour to get cocktails and half price oysters. Delicious! Stayed for dinner. Whether it's shrimp and grits (with additional andouille sausage), chicken fried chicken, or any one of their sides you will never be disappointed with Maxie's Supper Club.
Came here on a night they were raising money for the local land trust. Got one of the specials to donate (BBQ tofu) and it was delicious. The server was awesome; very nice, got everyone's order right, and everything was timely. I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is very busy which can get old after a while but it's worth... More
I was one of Maxie's first customers, when it opened in Ithaca. Having lived in New Orleans, I was a really happy man to have a Cajun/Creole based restaurant. They did not disappoint, having great jambalaya and just delicious food. We had a meal there after a 9 year absence and it was just great. Delicious raw oysters, perfect rack... More
On the way home from Watkins Glen, stopped with the kids for an early dinner. It was a gorgeous day, so they had the doors open to the air and seating on patio. We opted for inside near an open door. Sadly we had to ask our waitress to close the doors- the building is located just a sidewalk's width... More
We got there just at 4PM when they opened and sat in the bar area at a high top by the front window. Only raw oysters/clams and soup until 5 PM. Raw oysters (a variety) at half price from 4-6 so that was the perfect choice. They have some good craft beers on tap (we had a pecan draft that... More
We enjoyed a nice meal and atmosphere at Maxie's Supper Club. Our waitress was excellent and very knowledgable on the menu. The food was very good. I would definitely go back. I had the supper club salad which was wonderful. I also had the fried fish dinner with homemade tarter sauce. It was very good. My fries were slightly soggy,... More
