Upon reading the reviews of others, we decided to go out of our way for breakfast at this restaurant. The décor is cottage light and it is an obvious local regular spot as many people chatted at tables and were greeted at the door. We placed two orders, one for pancakes and sausage and one for sausage, eggs, home fries... More

This place served up a meal with all fresh ingredients reminiscent of a meal my Italian born dad would cook for us. We went for Friday fish, although I understand it is more notorious for great breakfasts & lunch. Classic family owned place & it is obvious that they love what they do. Locals seemed to be the majority, but... More

except for the very limited hours, often closed by noon, this is a treasure, especially the breakfasts including Disney-style pancakes, a deliciously wise-guy chef-owner and some superb cakes and pies... worth getting up early for, and a fine look at "inside" Niagara Falls

This place is amazing. Instant happiness. I swear by the roasted vegetable omelet. The vegetables are always fresh and in season, not from a can (I uploaded a picture of it). The atmosphere is lively with lots of locals having a great time. The servers are prompt, polite and attentive. The best though, is that every half hour or so... More

Stopped in here for breakfast on the advice of relatives who live in the area. It's not a really big place and it was packed with locals when we arrived. The food was excellent, the service was courteous and prompt and the prices fantastic! Where else can you get an omelet and toast for $3.50?? The coffee was great too.... More

This place was recommended by the hotel where friends were staying. What a wonderful recommendation!! It was filled with regulars, which was a sign that it was "the place to be". The food was fantastic! Servings are huge so, for example, if you're ordering the french toast, which I did, order the single slice, which is more than filling!! And... More

You know how you look for restaurants that locals patronize when in a new city? Well this is one of them. We found this gem, desperate for something fresh and original in Niagara. Located just off Pine St. In an old strip mall, the Marketside is easy to miss. If so, it is your loss. Open for breakfast and lunch,... More

This review is a few months after the fact. But I can't imagine the place has changed too much, nor that my memory could be so distorted. On a recent winter getaway to Niagara Falls, NY with my significant other, I found myself craving a good, down home breakfast. We looked around at the options; a nearby Denny's, a couple... More

First of all, an information update: "Mangia Cakes & More" is now called The Marketside! This outstanding little breakfast-brunch-and-lunch cafe (open from 8 A.M. till 1:30 P.M. on weekdays, 1 P.M. on the weekends) is a long-standing local favorite, with plenty of reason - from their cozy, inviting, classic 1950's coffee shop atmosphere (not retro, just basically unchanged from its...
