Chef owner Erik uses his grandmothers recipes and makes some truly excellent dishes. His is the best Bolognese sauce that I have ever had! (But if "Momma Donna" has made eggplant Rolatini, it's a tough choice!) We started going just for cappuchino, but it has grown into a great place to take your favorite bottle of wine and unwind in... I love this restaurant! The owner Erik takes good care of his guests! He makes sure people are comfortable and happy! His dishes are fresh, homemade and delicious. It's a great place for a business lunch or casual lunch and dinner. He posts often on Facebook so people can stay abreast of his daily specials. Cafe Bocca is a true... More

Great authentic Italian food cooked to order along with wraps, pannini's and salads. Always get the special because that is always his freshest offering of the day. The most recent dish we had was beef bolanaise (spelling?) and it was awesome and more that this big guy could eat! Gasp! Fear not, I took the rest home! You come here... More

When you are talking pizza anywhere in the Northeast everyone has their favorites. The owner Erik personally makes every pizza from scratch. The menu seems small but you can have the owners (husband and wife) make up something special that isn't listed. I asked for a sampling of aged cheeses in place of a salad.

Had a spinach and cauliflower omelet for Sunday brunch. WOW! so fresh and light. A limited menu but the unique flavors seem to expand the taste.

I recently ate here for lunch it is in interesting and kind of bizarre set-up. I really wanted to love this place because it looks so cute inside and my Panini was quite delicious. Upon entering we weren’t sure whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated the “waitress” finally came over and told us to take a... More

Thank You for the review. We appreciate your feedback, and will work to improve the self-serve beverage concept. We are transitioning to incorporate the Antiques element into the space as we expand. Please expect enhanced service next time you visit, and introduce yourself for a free cappuccino! More

I frequent this Cafe often, the food is always delicious and made-to-order, very authentic Italian food with high quality local ingredients. The fact that the food doesn't come out in 2 minutes shows you that nothing is pre-cooked/frozen. They recently began doing Sunday Brunch, and I'll never go to a diner again, when I can pay the same price and... More

Good coffee, good wi-fi. I didn't try their sandwiches but they looked good. Sometimes I had to park a little out of way. The walk was worth it.

Quiet is a good way to describe it: I had never even heard of Poughkeepsie's Little Italy before stumbling into Cafe Bocca. The atmosphere is great, especially for a casual lunch. The service was slow, but as I understood it, there was only the owner working when I was there: which would explain why it felt like we were waiting... More
