Great food (specialties are the London broil and Lasagna [even better, get the combo]). The place has been here for as long as I can remember - we used to go when I was a little kid. I still enjoy going here, friendly warm, old tavern type feeling. Not exactly a huge or progressive menu, but sometimes it's great to... More

While I admit I have friends who love this place, my last couple of experiences have not been great. Service and food was average. Food not terrible but not great either. Nice looking restaurant.

The sirloin burger is outstanding. Foster's is a landmark in Rhinebeck and we often like to eat there after taking in a movie at Upstate Films.

We have eaten here together several times over the past 17 years, and one of us has dined here many more times over the past 35 years. The establishment is decorated with horse-themed items and old furniture. The last time we dined at Foster’s we noticed that the horse-stall booths had been removed, giving patrons much more legroom and space... More

When I have visitors (friends or family) in the area and we want to go out to eat, then I have recommended Foster's many times. I get greeted at the door by everyone, not just the seating person. The food has been always hot and fresh (ever been to a place and the food is served luke warm?). The variety... More

With another couple, my wife and I visited Foster's for a mid-week dinner. My last visit was some forty years ago and I must say that it was my own fault that my dinner was "wholesale foods basic" Ordering fried scallops I completely forgot that Foster's is known for its london broil and lasagne combo, burgers, and the like. Prices... More

Service and food are great - old time bar atmosphere. A good place to unwind and relax. This is enjoyed by both locals and visitors alike.

The price is very steep for mediocre dishes. Food was bland It was one of the only options on the day of the parade. Waiter messed up calulations on our bill and tried to charge us $10 extra. Im sure it was an honest mistake but it didnt help the situation. Left here disappointed and would not return.

Known for their London Broil their french fries and green beans are delicious and the best sides to order. Desserts are reasonably priced but nothing special but this is still the only restaurant to still have pecan pie on the menu. The inside decor is really fun and you certainly feel like you are in someone's coach house if you... More
