Smooth and delicious. My husband will only stop for ice cream if we find an Abbotts. I have not, in my memory, had any better.

Abbotts custard is a must visit for anyone in Rochester. The custard is perfect and the portions substantial. It is pricey but well worth every lick. I especailly like the vanialla almond and chocolate almond but any flavor is awesome. Try the waffle cone,you won't be disappointed.

Heres what you hear about abbotts Ice cream.......to costly, to expensive, over rated, not worth the cost.....etc.......and........they are all right. I didn't grow up in Rochester, so I didn't take to Abbott's right away. But it grows on you (if you aren't careful, in more ways than one), and I now rank it as one of the best, if not the best, custards I have ever had. Get some in a waffle cone. '

Ice cream here is fine, but it is expensive and nothing special. I don't get what all the hype is about at all. If you are going there look for coupons to make it worth it.

We go to Abbot's a couple times a year but NEVER take the grandkids!! It's the price. Sure it's nice and smooth and has good flavor but the price for even a small cone is staggering. Sorry...it's just not worth it. So many other places with good ice cream in this town with much lower prices.

The ice cream or "custard" is fine but their prices are absurd. As I recall, a 1 scoop vanilla cone is almost $5. Why do people even go there? There are better places to get ice cream. If you have a few kids you will go broke going to Abbots.

If you are traveling to Rochester or live here hit the local Abbott's custard stands. They are little pricey, but the ice cream is outstanding.
