My wife, son, daughter in law and grandson went for lunch recently. My son know bar b que and theirs was up there with the best. Good value, friendly staff, live music and a homey atmosphere. The food was very good but I'm sorry I did not get to try their famous chicken wings.

Great food, good time. Just need to get there early. If you arrive late be prepared to wait at least an hour for either a seat or take out service.

Yummy, finger lickin' good. Great friendly service, good value and good great beers on tap. Paper towels for wiping, and jelly jars for water glasses, my kind-a-place!

We enjoyed a yummy lunch here while in the area. We were pretty bummed it was foggy and cloudy for pretty much our entire stay, and we chose Woodlands for a fun diversion of a lunch. It was a great pick me up with a friendly server, a table with a picture of Miss Piggy above it and good ol'... More

I found Woodlands in 1982 when I started ASU & my husband & I still eat there every time we go to Blowing Rock. The food is excellent & I love the atmosphere! If you're a uptight person that looks down your nose at us "common folk"--stay at home.

With the amount of restaurants in this area, I am surprised this place is open. In short, the waiter, dressed in short/tshirt/ and FLIP FLOPS acted liked he just woke up from a college party and couldn't say "You're welcome". Cold quesadilla for my daughter and my sliced "bbq" was more like sliced by a machine and warmed in the... More

My husband and I ate this BBQ restaurant recently. The chopped pork comes without sauce, therefore i feel that it should have some kind of smoked flavor prior to adding the sauce. This pork had NONE! it tasted like a plain baked pork roast that had been cut up (without even the benefit of salt and pepper) There are two... More

I have been to most of the BBQ places in the High Country and I can only say its the best! Value for $ is excellent! Yes you eat off a plastic plate but who cares with this yummy taste. The fun part food is consistent what you can not say about 99% of the restaurants in the area! Sundays... More
