The food is wonderful, the staff easy going, no stress with a complicated menu. The waiters are very friendly. For an uncomplicated night out this the place.

So we went to this pub. I got a sweet tea and the pub burger and my husband got the Ruben and cup of potato bacon cheddar soup. My burger totally hit the spot and the coleslaw was pretty good too. My husband said he is "over" the ruben and needs to stop getting them (not their fault) and wished...

The beer selection is very good with a nice variety of imports and craft beer on draft. They also have a nice bottle selection. The food is classic pub fare like pot roast and shepherds pie. The fish and chips is delicious so are the pub chips with bacon and cheese. Service is always excellent and the atmosphere is cozy...

Ate two dinners here, fish & chips then Shepherd's Pie. Washed each down with a pint of Bass Ale to add to the illusion. These made me nostalgic about my trip to England a few years ago, and lift my glass to absent British friends. Those two meals will bring me back to Blowing Rock and Six Pence the next...

Went on a friday and it was packed so we ate at the bar - we were really glad we did. They had typical pub fare and some twists on some classics and everything we had was excellent. Their soups are not to be missed, they have several lighter fare listings that were quite substantial and we were incredibly entertained...

Six of us ate various items from menu and all were pleased. I had the Shepherd's Pie and it was delish! Good Pub atmosphere and great service.. This was not our first choice as we didn't have reservations for another spot in the neat downtown area of Blowing Rock...and Saturday was a very busy day... so we were fortunate to...

The service was great. My husband had the fish and chips and was pleased to see that they had 2 sizes of plates to choose from. He chose the smaller plate and was glad as there was more than enough food. I had the Bangers and Mash. The Bangers were the best I have ever had. The atmosphere was British...

...and the Pub food was good. The prices were OK, especially for a tourist area. The staff was nice and efficient...and worked to quickly turn their table. I had the Fish and Chips for dinner. Other dinners in our group similar fare. It was good. Overall, much better than the "standard chains," but don't go expecting anything overly memorable.
We go here often because the staff are so friendly and they go out of their way to welcome our two giant Sholoh Shepherds in the outdoor seating area. The English Pub menu has much to offer. You can spend so much time there drinking, socializing, eating and watching the people walking.
