The sliced pork was solid, with a nice smokey, rich taste and it fell apart when you bit into it. The Hush Puppies were spectacular, fresh and lighter and airier than the usual style... It was awesome.

Had a 1/2 rack of baby back ribs. Truly mouth watering, fall off the bone tender. BBQ sauce was excellent NC-type. Family owned. Very reasonably priced, great taste and value. A good range of other items. Peach cobbler for dessert, quite good, served with a slab of vanilla ice cream.

You have got to try Hursey's bbq is you are a fan of bbq. It has a very unique taste. It's done a little different than any other bbq....it's almost like a blend of different styles..... but it's soo good. If you aren't a fan of bbq.....they have chicken that is really tasty too. Can't decide.....do what I do.....get both.....lol.

Stopped on a roadtrip, based on NC BBQ society trail. Pork had NO taste of smoke (actually no taste at all), fries were frozen and hush puppies were rubbery. Place smelled like burnt grease. Cole slaw was good, but would not recommend eating here.

I ordered the Bar B Que and Brunswick Stew Combo. The hushpuppies were plentiful and very good. However, the meal was bland. I would not eat there again.

My son took me here as his 'choice' when I visited him this month. He likes it but yuck, everything not pork BBQ was fried and greasy so I could barely eat it. After we left and dropped my son back at school, my daughter and I went out for something else to eat.

clean,fast and good service.great food. I go there often and have done so many years. There are consistant in clean ,good food. Friendly down home people.

Love the fact that I can either sit in or drive thru the pick-up window. The serving sizes are great, never leave hungry. The only thing the kids didnt like is they don't have ice cream for desert. LOL Love to buy it by the pound (and put a bit of the bbq in my scrambled eggs in the morning)... More

If they could find some way to always have fresh cooked chicken there would be nothing negative to say about this restaurant.I have given them at least 3 chances because when its fresh cooked it is delicious. I have just given up trying to catch them at a time when it is fresh cooked.As soon as you bite into it... More
