We stopped by here before hitting the road to go home. It was great, I will stop by there whenever we visit. They had a wide selection, my friend was worried because she doesn't eat grits but that's not all they have. I had the shrimp and grits and they were delish. She had pancakes with bacon, eggs and hash... More

We always stop at Grits Grill for breakfast as we're heading home from Nags Head. The service is fantastic, portions huge, food very good, and a place we've found the locals love. When you see people that live in the area going to a restaurant on a regular basis, you know you're in for a good meal.

My husband and I ate a late (11:00 am) breakfast here last Sunday and were so impressed by the quality of the food (coffee was just so-so but not bad) and especially the upbeat and efficiency of our server (a man whose name escapes me but he was delightful). My husband had an omelette and I had the French Toast... More

We ate here several times this winter. I enjoyed the creamed chipped beef. I was not impressed by the hash browns, too soggy for me. When I got the platter I preferred the grits. However, the best deal is to order the chipped beef as a side with a biscuit. Then if your still hungry you can order a single... More

Simply put, it's breakfast. If you like breakfast, you'll like the food. They do have a lunch menu, but wo eats lunch anymore? The atmosphere can only be explained as "greasy diner" like. Despite that, the food is usually hot and fresh. It gets crowded fast, especially when the church crowds let out on Sunday!

Great value for the money. Short order cooking is becoming a lost art-not so in this place. Only visit few times a year at that yet they remember what I ordered. Chain restaurants cannot duplicate atmosphere naturally created in their diner.

This breakfast place slings grits and eggs with the best of them. I like grits and these grits are about as good as grits get. Creamy and savory even before any butter, salt or pepper. The biscuits are just a wee bit smaller than a grown man's noggin. Mercy. And hot and fluffy. And delicious even with nuthin on em.... More

Heading out for a girls weekend and stopped here for a quick bite. Staff is super friendly and even sold us some scarves as we were waiting for our meal. That's marketing at it's best! We may have all ordered the crabcakes. While they were good. They weren't anything special. They were served on a basic hamburger bun. They came... More

Breakfast specials are great, service is fast, seating is tight, locals abound, lots of meets and greets going on. Restrooms were spotless for such a busy environment.
