A bride of mine recently hired Sooey's for the catering buffet at her Hatteras, NC wedding. I worked with the catering manager, Jennifer, to coordinate the menu and delivery and she was absolutely a joy to work with. The buffet arrived on time and was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Sooey's for any catering event! Jennifer C., wedding coordinator

One of our goals for our recent trip to the OBX was to find great BBQ. This fit the bill, plus some. The pulled pork and pulled chicken were excellent, the hushpuppies were just yummy. I eat BBQ with no extra sauce and the BBQ flavor was just smokey enough and spicy enough to hold up to the naked BBQ... More

You would be doing yourself a disservice if you DIDNT go to Sooeys on your OBX vacation. The pork and sides are all done jUST RIGHT! Mopping Sauce for on top is nice and spicy too! Plenty of flavor, smokiness, and moisture in the pork i've had there. Would always recommend to others! PS- go for the BIGGIE sandwiches when... More

Ribs were good and sides were ok. Small little place... that was clean. Bathrooms you had to go outside of the place...not very desireable. If I go again, I would take carry out.

We often go to the Pig Mans but decided to try a new spot since this was near our rental. My wife and I both had platters and brought home 1/2.Service was informal but quick.Ribs were large and juicy with a mild smokey taste.Pulled pork was buttery with great spicing. This would be a nice place for lunch and the menu had... It's OK. Would rather get ribs at the old Jockey's Ribs restaurant (now called Nags Head Cafe, I think). Sooey's ribs are just average.

I don't know if we visited on a bad day or location, but we did not have the same 4-5 star experience that the other reviewers posted. I went to the location in Jockey's Ridge around 6 pm and the place was empty except for a couple. He had ordered the ribs, which I thought looked good so I ordered... More

Order at the counter and they bring it to your table, Good food, reasonably priced. Nothing fancy but the price and food were well worth it
