The restaurant is small and in a strip shopping center, but don't let that fool you. The food is marvelous. Just be sure to make a reservation.
The Grill has been serving excellent food for many years, producing creative and tasty variations on Southern themes. Other creative restaurants have come along and added much to Raleigh's dining landscape. A recent visit to the Grill confirmed that it has kept up to date and maintained its high quality of food and service.
We go here fairly often. The food is good. It's a small place so it gets crowded very quickly. Some of the servers are very good and others aren't so good. The food is unusual in some ways and desirable.
A foodie friend recommended we try the Glenwood Grill while on a trip to Raleigh. If they hadn't, I doubt we would have found this stylish eatery as it is tucked away in a storefront in a strip mall. While it's not much to look at from the outside, the interior is beautifully decorated with blond wood, modern lighting, and... More

On this trip, I dined with a friend and it was so spectacularly wonderful that I returned the next night with my husband. His comment, "We need to move back to Raleigh". The service, the food, the... Glenwood Grill is truly the best restaurant in Raleigh. My girlfriend and I went there for dinner and we really enjoyed the food so much! It was very busy and a bit noisy for us. The food was excellent! I had red snapper and she had crab cakes. We had a great time and we will go back soon. Our... More
I have been to this restaurant several times for business and the food is consistent. Lovely presentation, fast service. Advice:: GET A RESERVATION, even on a week night. All the windows make the restaurant bright but also add to the noise. For a splurge, try the chocolate pie!
Glenwood Grill is an awesome neighborhood restaurant. Its fancy and casual. Excellent seafood menu. There is only 3 land items and the rest is seafood and grits. The value is great and the food is prepared, presented awesomely! I highly recommend it to anyone considering it. I bought the Living Social deal and then went to eat there and then... More
Thanks to living social, we found this hidden gem. Arriving into a Harris Teeter shopping center and seeing that this restaurant was in a strip mall, we were initially not very excited about dining here. Walking thru those doors, we were transformed in this very stylish restaurant. Menu was delightful, wait staff splendid and food just outstanding. Will definitely return!... More
