As guests of the inn, there didn't appear to be other choices but we knew this going in. For dinner we had fried green tomatoes (great). I had a special of shrimp and grits. Good gravy and grits, shrimp were small (it is the mountains!) but tasty. Husband had Mountain Friend Chicken which was good but small. Mountain fried chicken... More

A spectacular view was accompanied by a disappointing meal. My wife and I ordered fish dishes. The halibut was mushy and tasteless and her salmon dish was also disappointing. The lentil salad was very good. The server was excellent. In retrospect we probably should have stuck with local dishes.

We've made many trips to the Pisgah Inn Restaurant when anywhere close to making this our lunch or dinner spot. The servers are always so friendly and gracious. I've tried sever different meals trying to find my favorite but it only makes it harder on each subsequent visit 'cause they're all my favorite :) . We suggested this restaurant to... More

We stayed at the Pisgah Inn the night of May 12, 2013. Our restaurant experience was delightful. We arrived well before 5PM to get our name on the list and were pleased to be seated at one of the "coveted" window tables. It was a beautiful day, so the view was spectacular. Robert, our waiter, was friendly, fun and efficient.... More

It might be hard to believe that a restaurant in a national park could be so good, but this place has great healthy food at a reasonable price. The service staff is very well trained and also friendly. Of course, the view is just spectacular, from 5,000 feet looking 50 miles to the south over the French Broad Valley. There... More

I started coming here years ago when I was a child. I loved it then. The place has really hit bottom in the last several years. I would like to see the menus from the years when dishes like pisgah pasta and hamburger steaks were the top dishes. The alcohol is a disgrace to the place to. I have read... More

I am so sorry that you didn't dine with us. Our Pisgah Pasta is still on our menu and continues to be a crowd favorite. We have hamburgers so a hamburger steak was not out of the question either. If you had ask we could have cooked one up for you. We are always willing to cook dishes for our guest... More

Love the Pisgah Inn restaurant! We go there two or three times a year and are never disappointed. Especially love what the kitchen can do with pork. Nice beer and wine selection, as well. Of course, if you're staying at the Inn and you didn't bring dinner with you, you are a captive audience, but you'll be a satisfied one!

A nice view, is all I can say about the Pisgah Inn. I guess it is one of the "must do's" if traveling the BRP. I find the food mediocre at best, and, a bit pricy, for the portion size. Conversation is next to impossible, and the service leaves a lot to be desired. My wife and I go there... More

Surprisingly good, considering it's a rest stop on a mountain-top. Can't go wrong; this is not a fast food joint. Pleasant surroundings, excellent server staff, a good meal (especially the onion soup), reasonable prices. Not fancy, but you'll come away with a memorable experience.
