A spectacular view was accompanied by a disappointing meal. My wife and I ordered fish dishes. The halibut was mushy and tasteless and her salmon dish was also disappointing. The lentil salad was very good. The server was excellent. In retrospect we probably should have stuck with local dishes.

Love the Pisgah Inn restaurant! We go there two or three times a year and are never disappointed. Especially love what the kitchen can do with pork. Nice beer and wine selection, as well. Of course, if you're staying at the Inn and you didn't bring dinner with you, you are a captive audience, but you'll be a satisfied one!

Surprisingly good, considering it's a rest stop on a mountain-top. Can't go wrong; this is not a fast food joint. Pleasant surroundings, excellent server staff, a good meal (especially the onion soup), reasonable prices. Not fancy, but you'll come away with a memorable experience.
