Description: Thierry and Patricia Moity were previous owners of Patou Bistro in Charlotte, NC and Cafe de Bruxelles in New York City. Delight in Chef Thierry Moity's traditional French cuisine. Chef Moity, who has been cooking since age 13 in some of the finest French restaurants in Europe and New York City. The French cuisine is influenced by a combination of traditions-Patricia comes from the northern part of France near the Belgium border, while Thierry's origins are deeply rooted in the central provinces of the country. According to Chef Moity, the food is served fast paced and in generous portions." I want everyone to feel welcome in my restaurant". We are working against the stereotype that French food must be intimidating and expensive.

What a great surprise. We decided to try Caprice Bistro later than we normally eat and arrived at 10:00pm. We were ushered upstairs and were quickly seated to our table. The waitress was professional and very helpful in helping with selections and let us know that the kitchen would be closing at 10:30pm . We quickly ordered our salads ,... More

Although the place is downtown and parking could be a problem, going there is well worth the effort. The menu is eclectic with a French flavor, the wine selection is thoughtful, the service is attentive, and the food delightful with a good presentation. Having reserved via Opentable, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they actually do read requests and... More

I don't know why it took us so long to try Caprice Bistro. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was spot-on. The meal was absolutely out-of-this-world delicious. My husband loved the mussels in curry sauce. (I can't comment because I'm not a fan of mussels.) My pate appetizer was also great. The highlight of my meal was... More

The service was superb, the seating very comfortable, and the food itself was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Wilmington area.

The food was most delicious. Waterzooi dish was more tastey than many restaurants I visited in Belgium (and Belgium has excellent restaurants). Very interesting.beer selection. Price was very reasonable, Service was very friendly and responsive. Atmosphere rather intimate and cozy. Makes for a very enjoyable evening for my wife and myself. The owners work at the restaurants and I'm sure... More

The food is very good french dishes but also incorporates the local fish and produce available. When we were there they had a delicious heirloom tomato salad and for dessert used local strawberries. The wine is priced right and by the glass it is a nice generous pour. Very cozy downstairs and very romantic wine bar with couches upstairs.

This is a very nice restaurant and the food is really, really good! It is a very small, intimate restaurant with a cozy feel. The serivce was very good but not pretentious and the prices were very reasonable. I had the lamb shank; SO GOOD with a caprese salad as a first course. The tomatoes tasted like they were from... There is a lovely little French bistro in downtown Wilmington, just a block from the Cape Fear River. My husband made a reservation for our Saturday night dinner, and we were very thankful that we did as Caprice Bistro is a small restaurant. We were given a choice of the upstairs (more of bar area) or the intimated downstairs. It... More

I ordered the steak and my wife ordered the lamb. The waiter brought out two lambs then took both plates back to the kitchen when the mistake was noticed. A good while later the waiter returned with the correct order. My Wife's lamb was delicious while my steak was bland and under cooked. Bottom line, I feel the kitchen rushed... More
