We have only been here once for some unknown reason but we will be back again soon. We sat at the bar to have dinner, a favorite thing for us to do. Niki, the bartender took good care of us. Had the lobster Bisque and Calamari, my husband had the Seafood Ravioli plus several drinks. Great atmosphere, good food, excellent... More

Went last night in fact. Haven't been to see David and the wonderful staff in a while. Had the stuffed Pork Chop with Fingerling Potatoes and Pea Pods. I ate the whole thing! This of course means you get dessert. Finish your meal and get your just dessert! I growled at David as he pulled the gnawed pork bone from... More

As a resident of Wilmington, I have tried most of the restaurants that appear to appeal to our tastes. I have passed by this place so many times going and coming from the beach but haven't had such great luck with strip mall restaurants. Based on Tripadvisor, we decided to stop and give it a try. We were greeted warmly... More

Based on ratings my wife and I came up from Carolina Beach and tried this restaurant on our final night at the beach. We both ordered blackened grouper and we were both disappointed. They didn't do a good job with the blackening and it was just an average meal. The best thing about it was the little homemade muffins before... More

Fish Bites has every thing you want in a seafood restaurant. Great service, cozy atmosphere, good price and lots of locals. The clams were caught that morning by the owner and just delicious. Go early to get a good seat or enjoy the atmosphere in the bar. We love to visit this restaurant each time we are in town about... More

Wife found the place looking at review online. Wasn't disappointed at all. It's in a nondescript strip mall and you can easily dismiss the place but that would be your loss. Lobster bisque was very flavorful with pieces of lobster. Very rich. Yum. I ordered triple seafood plate ($19), broiled shrimp and fish, and fried scallops with zucchini fries. It... More

You might miss it--this little restaurant in a row of businesses--except everyone who goes there will tell you about it. Coastal atmosphere, good service and well presented food. It's not a "fry it and slap it on the plate" kinda place. It's fresh and beautifully presented food. I had the grouper for dinner and my husband had a special of... More

Not a huge menu but enough variety to bring you back to try something else that caught your eye as you look over the menu. They are busy ALL the time so plan ahead. Grouper Cheeks are a meal unto themselves. That and some soup and beverage and you're good to go!

So after reading the reviews and being newly relocated to North Carolina about a hour and a half inland of Wilimington, we decided to make a trip to the coast for lunch and some sightseeing. We have been craving fresh seafood since we got to NC. We started off with the grouper cheek appetizer. These were little fried morsels of... More
