Great sports bar; restaurant area is just ok but the bar with it's multiple tvs makes this a great location for watching sports. Food is acceptable, service is good.
Went there to have a couple drinks and eat something. Place is clean and really looks nice..... Too bad the people that work there are smug and rude. They stopped serving us drinks because it was past last call, which we were not made aware of. After I noticed they were countinuing to serve these frat boys across the bars... More
Had completed diving two nice wrecks and wanted to end up with a good meal and some beverages. Quickly greated at the door and taken to a table and Becky got our orders. We had several game selections to choose from but came for the World Series. Food arrived and our glasses never ran dry. Everyone was having a great... More
We only called in for a quick drink on a Tuesday night as we were staying at a hotel nearby but the atmosphere was good, the bar was full and the drinks were reasonably priced. If in the Mayfaire area of Wilmington again we would call in.
My wife and I visited the Fox and Hound on Sunday(NFL opening weekend). We left another restaurant because it was way to noisy with all the NFL fans watching games. We just wanted a nice relaxing meal and not have to shout at each other for our conversation. This restaurant has a large bar area with plenty of TV's but... More
The Fox and Hound is situated in Mayfaire on the outskirts of Wilmington. This is a fairly typical US diner. It has a number of large screens showing sport and at least 2 pool tables. Service was OK - could have been quicker. The food wasn't great, The kids ordered cheese pizza which were very thick. We ordered grilled salmon... More
Had dinner here last week. The menu is pretty varied for a pub type environment but the food was well prepared and tasted good. The fish and chips came with a nice portion of tasty fried fish. It was either 3 or 4 good size pieces. We stayed and played some pool after dinner and as a nice touch. Our... More
Ordered and our appetizer never came out. When our meal came we mentioned it but then was told one part was not available. No milk or apple juice for the kids. How does a restaurant not have milk? Food was good but those two things would led us elsewhere next time.
Nacho plate was big enough for 2. Drinks are price right during happy hour, which last until closing at 2 am. Bartenders keep the drinks coming. They are not pushing the drinks on you, they are attentive to your wants. Overall, a fun place.
Yes it has the appearance of a good pub, which it is in an American way with sports TV channels vying for diners' attention and signally failing to do so. The service, food and general ambience were pretty faultless, even if the background TV channels were distracting and noisy. Everything else done to a good standard and absolutely no surprises,...
