This large supermarket has a great selection of foods and produce. Everything you need to replenish your supplies on a roadtrip around Cape Breton.

Had dinner here while staying in Cheticamp at Albert's Motel, right across from the restaurant. It was very quiet, end of September, but the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We had had so much seafood by then, that the chicken stew we ordered was a delicious alternative. The ladies in their Acadian dress and accent were just a delight... More

This restaurant is nothing fancy but the food is for real. It is well worth the visit if you like local foods. We had dinner, but you might like it for lunch as well.

It was a joy to encounter a ceilidh at lunch. The food was really good, the service excellent, but when one of the staff started dancing with a customer, I knew we were in a good place!

Everyone was extremely friendly! We really wanted to like this place but the food was just average. My husband got the fish cakes which were more potato than fish. I got the grilled cheese with fries. The plus is you get a lot of food for the money.

I was relishing the local seafood and seasonal vegetables but the scallops were panfried so difficult to savor the freshness, the peas were canned. It resembled lower than average diner food. The locally available food in September is ample so we were hoping for much better fare. They did offer Nova Scotian wine which was decent.

I struck up a conversation with a local couple at a convenience store in Cheticamp and asked them where they would recommend I have dinner after a long day of riding my bike on the Cabot Trail. Without hesitation they recommended the Artisanale. The restaurant was packed with locals...always a good sign. The waitresses were all wearing traditional Acadian dress.... More

Nick tells us that the restaurant has poor food quality and I would comment that this is a matter of opinion. Maybe Nick isn't used to good homemade Acadian cooking and finds it not to his liking. As to have ordered seafood chowder, seafood chowder is not on the menu. They have fish chowder on the menu prepared as the... More

Very friendly staff, but poor food quality, especially for the price. I inquired about the "Seafood Chowder" and found out that the "seafood" was all haddock. I tried a cup and noticed a large reddish-brown chunk in the middle. At first I thought it was a piece of French bread, but when I finally tasted it, I found out it... More
