My husband and I stayed for two nights in Valladolid at the Hotel Meson de Marque. Since we arrived fairly late, we decided to eat dinner in the Hotel's restarant. The service, atmosphere, location, food was so top quality, we ate there every meal during our stay. I give the Hotel and Restaurant top ratings in all areas.

Right across from the main square is an entry way you might just miss - don't.this is a cool and lovely spot with tables set around a courtyard. The menu is extensive and the food is truly delicious and reasonable. Be adventurous and choose something different like Stuffed Cheese Valladolid style, and definitely try one of their juice concoctions.

The atmosphere is amazing, a pretty courtyard with lots of flowers and a bubbling fountain. We really enjoyed our meal at El Meson del Marques in Valladolid. My husband had the cochinita pibil and i had some "yucatan platter" or something like that. It all tasted very good.

We stayed at the hotel, primarily because last time through we ate at this restaurant and just love the grounds. The restaurant has the best atmosphere we have experienced, bar none. The food is just adequate, however. But the jicama margarita is superb, and you can just soak up that courtyard for hours.

This quaint little place was recommended to us by the taxi driver we had employed for our sightseeing daytrip. Loved the yucatecan style, decor, patio...everything it's the way it's supposed to be. The food is delicious, the service is great and, although a bit pricey, it's well worth the visit/stay.

We stopped over at this restaurant for lunch after Chichen Itza thanks to our guide book.
