This is the restaurant of choice for italian although i am tempted by others that have opened recently .The service is friendly and food is always good .Can be a bit noisy when full as tiles on floor and bare walls so sound bounces everywhere .Prices are reasonable .You can see pizza bases being made by hand so you know... Great value and great food..... My pizza was tailored to me, unlike some chains! Will be visiting again.

The food is very good quality, the service is either acceptable or good depending on our visits. They do tend to leave you alone and it can take time to get attention when you need it. It has a very romantic atmosphere, perfect for couples although last time we were in for a quiet night we were put next to... More

We had a family Saturday lunch at the restaurant . When we arrived we were given the full menu but they were happy on give the lunchtime menu to us when asked. The restaurant was fairly busy and the service quite slow but we were in no hurry. Some of our party had a 2 course lunch for £6.95 and... More

Went in October 2012 for an italian birthday meal for my younger son. Luckily the restaurant was packed with other families, groups and couples, creating a buzzy atmosphere. I have been previously when it's less busy and have found it to fell less welcoming. Service was good. Menu not a typical pizzeria, includes a variety of other more traditional italian dishes.... The premises used to be La Biciclette, an unaffordable French speciality restaurant. Now it's a downmarket spaghetti joint. The room is a big cavern, with no attempt at atmosphere and it can be cold and draughty. The floor and walls are all hard surfaces, so if it's busy it can be very noisy. Average pasta and pizza menu, prices ok... More

Had a lovely meal here on the 4th March. Lady did try and sit me and my boyfriend right next to other couple when that was all that was in the restaurant but we told her no. We were sat next to the chef making the pizzas and I popped my head round to see him making my order which... More

I've had many a pizza meal here with work colleagues, but recent visits may well be our last... The place was (and always is in the winter) absolutely freezing (we had to keep out coats on!), service was slow and we felt their soft drinks were on the pricy side... Had excellent pizza here in the past, but maybe it... More

Excellent food, gigantic portions! Had the garlic bread for a starter which was massive and tasted much better than anything you'd get served in pizza express. Very authentic. Our mains were delicious and the staff were really helpful. Would much rather go here than a chain restaurant, it was nice to have a personal service and taste food that was... More

A party of 14 of us went for lunch at II Girosola. We chose our meals from the lunchtime menu card given to us. Food was good though service a bit slow - it took them 35mins before they came to take our order. The problems arose when we got the bill - they had charged extra for coffee (shown... More
