they burnt my food and did not care. I tell everyone who asks me about the place as I am a concierge in a major 4 star hotel in Cleveland and have been for over 10 years. IK have told lots of people

We eat at John Qs EVERYtime we are staying overnight in Cleveland. We just love the steaks. The Hungarian Hot Pepper appetizer is what we love the most. Just enough spice, but not too much to dull out all the flavor. They also make a nice stiff mixed cocktail. The atmosphere is just relaxing and perfect for winding down the...

\My wife and I went to John Q's on April 20, 2013. We arrived about 8:30pm. We ordered a dinner of pork chops and an 8oz filet which we let our server know we going to split.
The bread was delicious, so was the salad.
Our steak and chops were cooked perfectly. I found the steamed spinach a bit salty,...

We had a group of ten there for lunch, the service was great, they had no problem breaking the bills down individually. The atmosphere was great. Lots of old pictures and memorabilia. The menu had lots of choices. The food was good, not the Cleveland chop house but good
Waitress was horrible. She NEVER checked on us. When she served our food and did not say one word, or ask if we needed anything. I had been waiting for another glass of wine for 20 minutes. I had to ask the hostess to get me a glass of wine. The waitress came to the table afterwards and was rude....

This restaurant is nearly an institution - it has been here for so long. The steaks are still very good and are generously sized (even the smallest filet was too big for a single serving after eating a salad). The artichoke appetizer was excellent.
However, a "special" West Side Market salad carried an up-charge and it was not special.

We arrived late on a date - and the hostess/bartender was an absolute delight. She took her time with us and even when the restaurant was 'closed' - she made sure our date was a pleasurable experience. We had, of course, steaks that were cooked to our requests and then strawberries covered with chocolate for desserts. She also recommended a...

We had reservations for 5:30 (going to the Q for a concert), we walked in (@5:25) and was immediately seated. Waiter (who was great) gave us a drink menu upon seating, brought out drinks them showed us a tray full of the meats they serve (great idea for ones questioning serving size). We gad the Prime Rib and the NY...

My colleague and I were looking for a treat after working all weekend at the Cleveland Motorcycle Show. We picked right. The steaks were done to perfection as was my lobster. Their in house made root beer has to be tried it's wonderful. Mike our server was very good and seemed very sincere.
Another reason why Cleveland has a vibrant restaurant life. John Q's is a gem on Public Square. I arrived late for our reservations, which the hostess didn't even flinch. She simply said no problem and seated us. Immediately, our drink order was taken. I do recommend starting with the cheese filled mushroom caps. They were very nice. Then, they bring...
