Manager Traci suggested I try a new white wine, Chateau La Freynelle, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscadelle from Bordeaux, France. It was perfect with the spicy fish meal. It had that soothing taste of floral and stone fruit aromas. Partial malolactic fermentation softens the palate and adds apple notes to the mid-palate. I strongly recommend this flavorful wine with fish!

My boyfriend and I went to the Chalkboard for dinner before going to see Paul McCartney, we had a wonderful meal and excellent service. The salads were fresh and full of flavor, I had the spring mix with goat cheese and cherries, it was incredible. They were very busy, but we still had great service and always had everything we... I've always been here for brunch. I'm not sure I could afford dinner! The food was great, service was outstanding, and the environment is nice, but crowded.

Seared Ahi Tuna salad is always good and the Clam Chowder was very tasty. Restaurant is a good place to actually have a conversation, especially at lunch. Good downtown location, easy parking, and friendly service. A good buy.

I am a steak and potatoes guy but my wife likes variety, so we ate at the Chalkboard. Great selection and I even tried some new items I have never had. Great presentation, good value, great atmosphere. Go with your wife or girlfriend or both - they will love you for it.

Brunch on Sunday was absolutely amazing. The pork chop was moist and full of flavor, the burst of flavor from the cinnamon roasted apples beats any other, hands down. The tomato basil soup was delicious and perfect on a cool spring day. The service is unparalleled. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and atmosphere! Highly recommend.

Always excellent dinner selections, superb service - quiet tables. Very romantic. Located close to Downtown in a quaint hotel - Paul McCartney stayed here - that's quite a recommendation!
