We were turned away at the Wayfarer because they were overbooked and ended up at Sweet Basil's, which was excellent! Great portions, wonderful fresh unique dishes and great staff. Small place with just a few tables, but worth it if you have to wait.

We ordered tomato and rice soup which was decent. The two sandwiches that we ordered were roasted veggie melt with basil pesto. It was an open faced sandwich which was not mentioned on the menu or maybe I missed reading it. Nonetheless, upon request they added another slice to the sandwich so it was easier to eat. That was a... More

Wonderful food. Nice to eat at a place that respects and understands necessity of GF. I was very satisfied with the food. Also to know I won't be sick from gluten contamination. One of the best places to eat in area!

The only down-side to this restaurant is that it's tiny. The food is excellent and different, the wine list great. My friends and I liked it so much that we went twice over a long weekend. Just get there early-ish if you want a seat.

If you go to Portland and you have the time you need to visit the Oregon coast and Cannon Beach is a good place to go and it has a number of good restaurants. Our favorite was Sweet Basil Cafe.

Enjoyed a fine meal with my wife. The service was very good. The food was delicious and well seasoned. The portions were sized just right, not too much and not too small. The guitarist was very good. The music was unobtrusive and the volume allowed conversations 8 feet away. We have havve had lunch here before and were wanting to... More

This place has Amazing food! The Chef is an unbelievable cook and his recipes are so unique! WOW! I had the Thai Coconut Curry Salmon Filet, my husband had the Chicken Tchoupitoulas, we also had their Crab Cakes for an appetizer, a house salad to share, and of course a nice glass of wine. Plenty of food, and everything was... More

I liked the variety, taste and portions of the dishes. This is a small cafe and quite friendly. No bad meals, here!

We ordered two wraps to-go from the friendly proprietors and were happy to receive them in bio-degradable containers. Like many of the restaurants in Cannon Beach this one is a converted house and feels welcoming and warm. There are lots of healthy options on the menu and the wraps were fresh, delicious and BIG. The coleslaw on the side was... More

Another delicious dinner at Sweet Basils. Without fail every time has been great! This time we had the Thai Salmon and it was delicious- unusual sauce and a kind of blackened salmon. Reccommended!
