After reading the reviews on TA, we decided to give it a try for lunch. The restaurant is quaint, and nicely decorated. They start you off with some great, fresh sourdough bread, very good bread, but maybe not what you want before you eat a sandwich (which make up most of the lunch menu. My wife had the Grilled Zucchini... More

Didn't know this place existed until I read about it in Trip Advisor. Thank you fellow reviewers. We went for lunch on a Tuesday in late May on a rainy windy day. They had been packed all day and so were out of some things. That turned out to be a good thing. We tried some things we would have... More

Was referred by a local shopkeeper at the Marina. Most surprising breakfast I've ever had. Until this morning, I have never truly eaten a croissant. A little bit unusual with their offerings, but very well done. My wife had the eggs benedict and the hollandaise sauce was so different, just couldn't stop trying it. Very addictive! Great little shop, only... More

My wife and I made our first visit to La Maison after driving down from Lincoln City. While we were down that way for sightseeing, La Maison would have been worth the drive all by itself. The breakfast was awesome! We started with a small bowl of sliced bananas served in cream, hazel nuts and something else -- how tasty.... More

Love, love, love this place! I honestly think their salmon benedict is the best that I have ever had. Their pastries and coffee are excellent! Service is wonderful, food is excellent. We try to eat here every time we are in Newport!

My family ate here 2 weeks ago and the soups and sandwiches were outstanding. Very European style cafe with a bakery that has a treat for everyone to enjoy. Reasonably priced and right next door to a great Toy store that the kids always ask to visit (so everybody wins). Hopefully someday they will offer nightly dinner service.

This is exactly the kind of place I love to discover and go back to every time I am in town. The restaurant is very small but it so worth the wait if they are full. They have several variations of Benedict, all great? the coffee is good, the bakery items are outstanding. Even the pre-meal treat is phenominal, sliced... More

We absolutely loved this place. We traveled up and down the Oregon coast, and this was definitely in the top two places we ate. It also had the best pastries by far, which is saying a lot from this bakery junkie. I had the crepes with artichoke sauce, and the sauce alone was worth it. My husband got the classic... More

Saw this was #1 on TA so gave it a try for lunch. It took a few minutes to get seated but the French onion soup, complimentary bread selections, quiche and turkey salad on croissant were good. Don't know if I would give it #1 overall in Newport but strong at what they do. The sandwiches are $11-15.
