This is a must stop if you are in Newport! It is on the North end of the Bayfront , so keep walking! They catch and serve! We had the fish taco's, very flavorful! Also had the fresh rock cod fish and chips. Really nice lightly breaded batter! Perfect ambience on a nice day, as you overlook the Historic Bayfront!... More

Loved the food, atmosphere and company! I recently visited this fun restaurant with friends who were excited to share one of their favorite places to eat. I plan on taking my family this summer when we vacation on the coast. The fish tacos were amazing and I also enjoyed a bite of the fantastic crab cakes. The view of the... More

Was there on a beautiful sunny day and people were waiting to get in. Had an oyster shooter (yum!) and seared scallops over couscous. The food was well presented and tasty. The guy at the next table had the crab cakes and they looked dry, but he said they tasted "okay". A lady at another table had the garlic and crab... More

A friend told us about this place and we decided to try it. NOT disappointed!!! Everything is fresh, and you can watch your food being prepared. Service is good and attentive. We really enjoyed the food which was very tasty but not overwhelming. The Big Plates ARE big! While the meal was delicious and filling, the price was a little... More

Food and service was excellent. I had the fishwife stew and it was fantastic. My wife had a tuna wrap that she loved. The building is nothing to look at and a little bit cramped.

It seems odd to me in a seafood town that there's so few seafood restaurants. There's plenty of chowder places but few good seafood choices. We spotted Local Ocean at the far side of the bay only because we were staying out at the Embarcadero - it's somewhat out of the way, past the tacky souvenir shops on the bay.... More

This is another of my traditions with my friends when I visit Oregon and we go to the coast. The oysters were amazing and right out of the bay. The lingcod was from Depot Bay and amazing. We had to sit outside as the wait was very long. But we were there on a Friday night. But it is well... More

A local recommended this place to us, we both had the steamed clams very fresh and well prepared, friendly staff. Nice fresh seafood.

We were here on a Saturday at lunch time, so it was slammed. The wait was 45 minutes, so we wandered over to the docks and came back in about 30 and they were already ready for us. Hardly a wait at all! Our table was by the glass roll-up doors which was really cool. If it had been a... More
