We had lunch here and it was perfect. Two glasses of rosé, a really creative celery soup inspired by Waldorf salad, a Brie and mushroom baguette for me and a burger for my husband. An amazing crime brûlée for dessert. Really, just perfect.

There was nothing at all that I disliked. The food was amazing. Service was perfect. The server/bartender (I ate at the bar) was informative, intelligent and not overbearing. I love this place.
During my recent trip to Portland, I knew of a couple places where I wanted to try, but the first night I did not have anything planned since I didn't know the exact time I would be getting into to town.
After getting to the hotel and being extremely exhausted after having taken a day trip to explore the Hood...

Had dinner there on Sunday. Sat at the bar. Duck entree had good flavors, but very difficult to slice into the wing. I asked for a thin slicing, but it was still hard to chew. I think a bistro needs more selections of wines by the glass.
The chacuterie -- so good!! Delicious morsels with flavors so delicate and savory...you have never had anything like it! My friend wants to marry the chef!
I'd travel to Portland just to eat here again. If you don't have a reservation, sit at the bar and just go course for course. The bartender is extremely warm and knowledgable about the food as well. Go for the pork belly. And look forward to your mini-macaroon to top off the meal.
Small but decent menu. This is probably good so they only concentrate on a few times. The food was good but in the end, the taste in your mouth is terrible if you take into account the wait staff. Went their last week for a birthday lunch and wished we had gone and spent out money elsewhere. I'm not sure...

We walked here from our hotel on the recommendation of the hotel front desk staff and were very fortunate to be seated right away with all the other tables already occupied by spirited but appropriately behaved diners. Excellent overall experience with atmosphere, food, and service all delightful. Definitely worth a repeat visit on another trip to Portland.
Tucked into a tiny storefront in Portland's downtown, Little Bird offers delicious French bistro-style food in a little Paris-like nook. The service is attentive without being obtrusive and excellent advice was provided for wine pairings. Reservations are essential. Other than the crowds, the only downside is that the space gets quite loud when crowded.
This was a recommendation from the bellman at the hotel. He was right. The food is very good and the service good as well. We arrived there on a Friday night and the hostess was very accommodating.
