I wandered in at 8:30. Had wonderful frsh sushi made for me. Fun watching the go round, but at that hour figured custom made was better. It sure was good. I ordered my usual favorites, scarfed them down, then ordered more. Coming back. Fun sitting at the counter.

We were recently in Portland and my son who knows cheap eats in Portland mentioned a hunger for sushi and led me to Sushi Sakura on SW 6th near Pioneer square. Besides an assortment of interesting rolls and other sushi, we enjoyed the happy hour prices. It's now on my list for inexpensive, tasty food downtown stump town .

Great, fresh sushi! Conveyer style bar, polite friendly service, not too expensive. Ate lunch with beer for $12.20. I'll be back!

What can I say the sushi my not be up there with the high end restaurants but it is very good and you can eat your fill with a beer or two for under 20.00 at Happy Hour. A definite must weather on a budget or not.

I was a little reluctant at first at the concept, but the sushi is fresh and very good. I stayed in Portland for a three week business trip and ate there four times. Each and every time the food and service was oustsanding. There are lot's of selections to choos from and each plate has a different color band to... More

I've been twice for Happy Hour and I been very satisfied with it. All of my rolls were fresh, I watched them make them. I am somewhat of a sushi snob and I like this place. It isn't a fancy sushi bar it has a conveyor belt so there really is no comparing the two. Must order the calamari it... More

The sushi was good. I especially like the concept. The sushi is on a conveyor belt that moves around the bar. You can take what you like right off the belt and you can still order other rolls if you want something other that what is on the belt. The prices were very reasonable. We were there for dinner, but... More

Prices are cheap and food is good. You get your food off a conveyor belt and they are priced by the color of the plate. Would have gone back if we had stayed longer.

As far as conveyor belt sushi goes it was just so-so. The rolls looked boring but they did have a lot of salmon out and that was average in quality. The service was awful though. They seemed more concerned about texting and their cell phones and talking to each other then about the customers. I'd skip this place and find... More

This restaurant is the "go round" style, where the plates of sushi travel around the restaurant on a conveyor belt, so you can grab what appeals. The dishes are priced based on the color of the plates. The least expensive plate is $1.25, and most are under $2.50. We stayed at the Hotel Monaco, which is on the same block,... More
