That's my highlight: on a sunny Saturday after a short romp at The Fields dogpark, we stopped on 23rd for a wee bit of shopping and a late lunch. Jo-Bar doesn't have seating for more than 2 on the sidewalk, but Papa Haydn (sister restaurant) does. I found the menu a bit limited. I had the croque monsieur with a... More

The name is inspired. Since we live nearby we have gone several times. Desserts are heavy for our taste. Onion soup only about average. They were very nice to our dog when we ate outside (but most places on 23rd are).

Good food, good desserts, our waitress was very sweet, smiles a lot, food took a little long to come, but overall, good eating.

My husband wanted to bring me here for dessert so we walked from the Portland International Guest House and put our names on the list around 10:45 on a Saturday night. We were called 15 minutes later and having had time to look over the days menu decided to get a meal before dessert. The dinner service stops at 11... More

Great deserts, entrees. Killer happy hour. Sidewalk dining & people watching paradise. Superb Bloody Mary. Great service.

We did a late lunch on Mother's Day. It was very nice. We got the french toast strata and eggs benedict, and some meringue and chocolate dessert that was delivered straight from heaven by some angel. The food was very nice indeed, but the dessert was spectacular. The service was very good, attentive without being overwhelming, the tables are a... More

Their food is wonderful, especially the dessert. Last time I was here, the service was fairly bad--granted there were a lot of people at the time, but we ended up waiting 40 minutes at our table before being offered drinks. It gets very busy and crowded, so I recommend going for lunch. If you can, go for outdoor seating on... More

Across the board this place gets an A in my book. Every meal here has been good and it always feels special. Then there's the desserts. I'd walk across Oregon to stand at their dessert case and drool. It doesn't what how good the dinner is, my heart starts racing when I think about the sweet artistic masterpieces that follow... More

This is my go-to restaurant in the Pearl District. If you are lucky enough to get a sunny day, eating outside is so much fun. Seating is right on the pavement, so great for people watching. There are two sides to the restaurant, and they have different menus. I like the one on the end. Try the trio of bruschetta... More

The extensive dessert menu make this place a sweet tooth person's must do if you happen to be in this area. Outdoor tables at this corner restaurant also make a pleasant experience on a beautiful sunny day. Service is friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Opt for a light lunch (trout salad was perfect) after ogling the dessert counter inside.... More
