Having lived in the Portland area for nearly 4 years, I decided it was time to visit Portland's most popular, highest grossing restaurant: Portland City Grill. Located at a high level of one of Portland's tallest skyscrapers, PCG has an amazing view of the city and surrounding waterways. Walking in, you get the feeling right away that this is a... More

With only 3 nights in Portland we debated long and hard about where to eat. Some of the reviews of this place were a little negative so we walked over to look at it (and their menu) before making a decision. The view was clearly worth even a mediocre meal, but the meal also turned out to be excellent -... More

Wife and I were there during Sunday Happy Hour and found the bar menu to be excellent and the wine by the glass selection also excellent. The when I ordered a Pinto Noir she asked if I had tasted it before. When I said no, she gave me sample of all the Pinots they were pouring by the glass so... More

Happy hour here is great. The view from the bar is outstanding and the prices are reasonable. Dinner is just ok. Meals have been hit and miss. I have felt I am paying for the view rather than the entrees.

The view - I dont know that there is a single place in the Portland area, that can beat the views at PCG. As far as atmosphere, not too shabby. If you want to rub elbows or bump into Portland's Elite, this would be the spot. For an upscale place, it is awfully noisy, but it doesn't seem to bother... More

Portland City Grill is high in the sky on Fifth Avenue, providing a panoramic view of Portland, the surrounding area, and Mount Hood. This attractive restaurant is 30 stories up atop a soaring building of pink glass. Parking is provided on the bottom floors. The interior of the restaurant features lots of tile on the floors and walls, with warm-colored... More

This restaurant is a bit pricey but they have happy hour in the lounge and that is more than affordable. We went for dinner our first night while visiting Portland for a conference (you need to make a reservation). Service and food were excellent. The views were excellent. It was so much fun that a bunch of us went back... More

The food was off the charts good--especially the salmon and halibut. Service was impeccable and the view--well it cannot be improved on. 30 stories high and the place is classy. Eat here first when in Portland.

Get here early for the Sunday Happy Hour that starts at 4pm or you will not get one of the great view seats. The drinks and appetizers are good but it's the view that's special. Definitely worth a stop for any visitor.

I remember the first time I went to PCG - it was a memorable experience and memorable food. That was about 5 years ago. I visited a few more times and every time the food got more basic, drink became watered down, and the service became indifferent. Really disappointing considering the amazing location and the potential. The sushi is mediocre... More
