The atmosphere on the bottom level is extraordinary. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait for 5 minutes but once we sat down in the VERY busy dining room, it was great. It's the most authentic place I've ever eaten in and I was expecting to see a Revolutionary War soldier walk in at any moment. The... More

Mother's day lunch in the tavern was great. Always a nice beer selection if you want to try something different. I could go there and just get corn and crab chowder, beer and the house salad dressing with bread to dip in it. Those are my 3 favorite things there. More

The food was terrific. You have to try the clam chowder(almost like a stew). Crab cake sandwich is delicious. Top it all off with a slice of yummy oatmeal pie. You won't be disappointed. Coffee is just okay. They have a bar full of unique draft beers. More

Been here a few times and love their pretzel sandwiches. Really nice spot to stop and have a beer and some food. Pretty cook history and love the ghost photos, since its haunted. More

We heard much about this historic lodge and eatery, so decided to give it a try before completing the last erg of our trip to Bedford Springs. The setting is something of a mix of history, Disney and Cracker Barrel. It's nice enough, but far enough from its historical roots and close enough to everyday casual dining that it qualifies... We appreciate your business and your feedback. We have really focused on keeping our 250 year old historic property well preserved, yet relevant and functional for a thriving modern day business. Sometimes when you do have a "big reputation" it is harder to impress guests because their expectations are so much higher. We do strive to live up to the... More

We had a great meal. The food was delicious and the portions were very large. The menu had a large selection and was reasonably priced. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I wish we would have had time to go back for a second meal. More

This beautiful old stone tavern boasts a unique dining experience in the lower level with beautiful stone walls, fireplace and ambiance. The food is always wonderful and there is plenty to choose from. They also have overnight guest accommodations and can arrange for special items, like champagne, to be placed in the room for those 'special' or romantic occasions. There's... More

The "Jean Bonnet Inn" is a very special place indeed. It has been around for about 250 years and its sturdy stone exterior tells stories about historical events like the Whiskey Rebellion. There is even evidence of ghost sightings! However, there is also a lighter side to the tavern. A beautiful porch allows al fresco dining on sunny days, the... More
