The owner announced they were going to close then the owner Patrick Andrews announced new investors on board and and would stay open. He sold food shares for $250 but there were no new investors. He stiffed the Carlisle Theatre on rent, local vendors, he stiffed people who invested in him, and then hid behind bankruptcy. He should never get... More

Though a bit on the pricey side for me, the food was delicious. Some of the best calamari I've ever had. Loved the water glasses made out of wine bottles... reaffirmed the "green" in the name.

The Green Room has gotten it together! We have been many times over the past few months and food has consistently been excellent and service is very good as well - both at lunch and dinner. And brunch which we enjoyed on their "opening day". The menu is updated regularly with a wonderful variety of options. The risotto is (or... More

Great place that pays great attention to the details, with excellent results. All of our food here has been fantastic, and the service is great. Bring a bottle of wine and sit outside on a nice day to really enjoy downtown Carlisle.

We have wanted to like this restaurant since it opened and we gave it several tries before concluding it was not going to rise above mediocrity. Recently, however, the place has gotten a new chef and the change in the menu is like going from night to day. Not only is the food well prepared, but it is also well... More

I already positively reviewed the Green Room in Carlisle, PA, but I need to add something ... we went back on Friday night (November 2) with friends. It was still delicious, and I still appreciate the organic, local foods. However, this time I was really struck by how limited the menu was. I am on Weight Watchers, and it was... More

The salad was fresh but bland. The rolls were good as was the homemade butter. My rabbit entree was dry and chewy, as we're the potatoes (the only side dish that came with). Not worth the price. Perhaps a good choice for vegitarians or those needing glutton free options.

I like the whole concept of organic, local food. I haven't been there since they hired a new chef. But they may be closing down. That will be too bad. We need a place like this.

Unique little restaurant where everything is organic. I had a bass that was the best I ever had. Everything else a bit different and good.

We took guests out to dinner and we were very unhappy with our dining experience. We'd done a search on Tripadvisor and thought it sounded wonderful. We were very disappointed. It took over an hour for the entrees to arrive, which seemed unwarranted since the restaurant was only half full. The cider brined pork chop was raw, absolutely raw with... More
