We had heard about the B&B there so we thought we would drive out to see it. That was a Monday & they are closed that day. We went back Tuesday for lunch. It has history spilling all over it. The story about the Inn is fantastic. When one eats there one feels the ambiance of the inn. The food... More

My husband and I are frequent visitors to the Gettysburg area. Our dining experience at the Cashtown Inn was wonderful. Even though our server Brian had a full house in the Tavern Room of the restaurant, we were given personal, attentive treatment throughout the evening. The Cashtown Inn is full of history. We ate in the Tavern Room, which was... More

Very Historical site; A good place to visit, but the food is just average. Much better food in Gettysburg than here. Actual tavern is a small room for $pecial guests. Everybody else is crammed into an overflow room in the back of the building. Very expensive with a poor atmosphere. We made a tavern reservation, but were given seats in... More

We appreciate all reviews. It is a shame this person did not express and problems with the meal to any staff member during the visit. We would have been happy to deal with any problems they would have had. The tavern room was not requested by this guest. We had private function booked for that room for more than a... More

I visited Gettysburg for the first time in my life during Memorial Day weekend of 2013 - an overdue trip as the Civil War history buff that I am - and I can honestly say that the Cashtown Inn absolutely made our trip. Although my boyfriend and our two friends only had the honor/pleasure of staying at the Inn for... More

Yet ANOTHER great reason to visit Gettysburg! Only 8 miles west of town, the Cashtown Inn is an incredible fine dining experience. We try to get there on each of our quarterly visits to town, but don't always make it because of limited time. We have had some of the best dining experiences there ever, not only because of the... You can't beat this place for a great meal. Atmosphere is excellent and owners really care about customer service. Crab cakes and new York strip are great. You will not be disappointed. Might even see ghosts of civil war soldiers. General Lee visited here on way to Gettysburg.

Located where the Confederate Army and General Lee marched to Gettysburg, the Cashtown Inn simply exudes history and drama. My wife, I and my daughter and her husband had a terrific meal while we reveled in the history of the Inn. The meal, the food presentation and the ambiance rated top scores from us. We were fortunate to be the... More

The Cashtown Inn is our favorite restaurant in the area. We have never had a bad meal there. We love the salads and the home made dressings.

The Cashtown Inn is one of those places that I'd always wanted to try, but never seemed to make it to. Finally got a chance to try it out. Two things: I definitely recommend getting reservations (we did), and I think you will have a more relaxing, enjoyable time if you don't bring small children. My daughter is 16, and... More
