Description: Voted "Best New Restaurant" by Harrisburg Magazine in 2009, Piazza Sorrento is a modern Italian restaurant based on the "Old World" Italian recipes of the owner's family back in Italy. The Bolognese sauce they grew up on and the tradition of family is the cornerstone of the Piazza Sorrento dining experience. Dedicated to providing the finest in service, food, and wine at a fair and competitive price, Piazza Sorrento makes regional and classic Italian cuisine using premium local ingredients while keeping the history of the dish and region intact. Piazza Sorrento not only provides the best in authentic Italian cooking this side of the Atlantic, but also believes that all patrons, whether adults or children, should be welcomed like one big family - even those with certain dietary requirements. That is why Piazza Sorrento is widely known for their extensive Gluten Free menu, another reason patrons routinely drive over an hour or more to dine in relative ease and safety.

First and foremost, i came to Piazza Sorrento with my husband and children STARVING. We let our server know just how hungry we were and she brought us homemade bread, butter, and oil, unbelievable. We tried the bruschetta, and wow. The flavor was amazing. My husband and I got pasta dishes: chicken saltimbocca and clams with fettuccine in a white... More

Piazza Sorrento is our favorite place in the Hummelstown/Hershey area to dine. We eat there about one a week with our 4 year old and infant . Our favorite dishes are the fettuccine Alfredo, Penne Vodka, and the lasagna. Their hot crab dip appetizer is the best I've ever had. We recently had them cater an event and everything was... More

We've brought clients to lunch here and have never been disappointed with the food. 5 out of 6 times the service was exceptional. Reasonable price. The desserts are wonderful. Try the shrimp ravioli.

We have been visiting Hershey every year for the last 10 years. Decided to mix up our restaurant choices a little this year and found this place on the Internet. The reviews looked promising so we gave it a try. We ended up finding a real pearl for Italian food within walking distance from Hershey Lodge. Food was excellent, service... More

The area restaurants and Piazza Sorrento were very busy the evening we came to the restaurant. The hostess we interacted with was very friendly and checked to see what gluten free items we could order in the pizzeria - we were ok with the selection and chose to eat there. Gluten free rolls were served with the gluten free pasta.... More

My son has a severe peanut allergy, so any family dinner at a restaurant is stressful. The staff at Piazza Sorrento went above and beyond when we visited for lunch. They not only were able to confirm their foods were peanut free, but the restaurant manager also came out to speak to us directly and discuss my son's allergy and... More

I do not often do online reviews, but this was too good from start to finish to not take my hat off to. We had the Risotto balls for an appetizer. They were positively amazing. My girlfriend had eggplant rolled around a mixture that was like lasagna filling that was to die for. The Italian Sampler was enough for an... More

After spending a week in Rome enjoying every morsel we ate, we decided to try Piazza Sorrento in Hershey. We were not disappointed. To start there were some very interesting Italian cocktails made with campari(an aperitif not well know in this area) and a very nice rendition of bruschetta. A very fresh salad followed with house made bread. We all... More

My favorite thing on the menu is the pear, pecorino and arugula salad. The dressing is really delicious! I had the crab cakes this evening, and they were very good . . . mostly crab with little binder to keep it together. The bar is comfortable, as is the dining room. They also have a take-out section with seating for... More

My fiancé and I planned a casual rehearsal dinner with this restaurant via email and phone conversations. We live on the west coast and made a special trip into Pennsylvania to come and finalize details for our reservation. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Pete, the new owner, telling us that our confirmed reservation is no longer valid because... More
