We went here with friends and to be honest we were unsure of what to expect. This has to be one of the best restaurants in the area. Exceptional food, pleasant staff and a good atmosphere within the restaurant. This place is highly recommended we will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
"The Old Post Office" conjures up a kind of chocolate-boxy image of a pre-war British village institution covered in Cotswold ivy where a kindly, bewhiskered gentleman sells penny blacks, crumpets and firewood to ladies to keep them warm. Used to be a nice place but I feel it's a rip off we had to pay a service charge of near 40 pound and not that great service the staff was very young just left school will not be retuning very expensive for a pub for 8 of us 300 quid and some didn't even have starts

We are regular visitors to the Old Post Office and never leave disappointed. We don't tend to book and just turn up and to their credit have never been turned away, that said there are only the two of us.
We plumped for their 3 course Sunday lunch menu at £14.95 for three courses.
Garlic mushrooms to start with, consistently...

Limited choice of good beer in an area where there is plenty of good stuff to choose from. The pricing is reasonable but since I'm a Southerner and used to overpriced beer and...

excellent food, fresh produce, staff friendly, steak is amazing! do book a table to avoid being turned away!
Called in for a drink during a nice walk. Outside it says steak house and bar on the sign and we just wanted a drink. Probably around 30 tables outside but when I went in, most areas had signs saying "diners only" and "attended service only, we don't serve at the bar". Then advertise it as a restaurant and take...

Had lunch today with my partner. We had Steak and a Chicken dish.Good selection on the menu to suit most appetites whether you want a light bite or something more substantial. The food was of good quality and very tasty, however, the salad on the plate looked very limp. I didn't bother to mention this as I wouldn't have eaten...
